Book Description

Rolling off his couch after a rough night, the day started off no different from any other. That is, up until John opened his coat closet and saw a dragon staring back at him. Transported to the exotic city of Iathera, he befriends an enigmatic green-skinned woman and a wizard with a penchant for bathrobes. Deciding that a temporary change of scenery was called for, John opts to take a vacation in this bizarre land. However, John’s rest and relaxation is interrupted when news of an unprovoked attack reaches them. Having trekked across an entire ocean, the nation of Kierd has now besieged the allied Nebar Cluster. With Kierd wielding devastating weapons never before seen in that world, the surrounding region is rapidly thrown into turmoil. Though still unsure over why exactly he was brought there, John finds that he may hold a key in helping to understand their adversary.

Contains some excellent recipes for diabetics looking to enjoy good food. As with ALL recipes, one should use discretion and good thinking when preparing something that calls for use of sugar.

Obviously this person is not a diabetic. This person could not be an insulin dependent diabetic. If they were they would not be writing these recipes. All ice cream will have 4grams of sugar in it. Ifyour insuline dependent it doesn't matter if its fructose ect sugar is sugar. Too much sugar is bad nomatter if it is "good" sugar or "bad" refined or organic. You can't subtitute food so you can eat sugar. Four grm of sugar is one teaspoon.

I hope the diabetics who downloaded this book had their insulin ready. You cannot call a cake sugarless and Load it with dates, prunes, raisins and flour. They are all sugar, and the pancreas doesn't care if it comes from white table sugar or fruits, it still needs to release insulin to process the sugars.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

K. P. Alexander

Seems the only time I get writer’s block is when I’m trying to write about myself. I’ll flesh this section out eventually, but, to quote the words of Neil Gaiman, "I’m just making things up and writing them down." You know what? Now I feel a little bad. You see, I have a confession. I’ve never actually read anything by Neil Gaiman. Of course, I know of him, but I inexplicably never got around to reading any of his books. However, judging from the YouTube videos I’ve seen, he looks like a nice fella’. In truth, the only reason I know that quote is because I saw it on his Twitter profile after I Googled him. Sorry, Neil. If it’s any consolation at all, Stardust is one of my all-time favourite movies…
