Enjoyed reading it. The severity of the weather and the perils faced by the expedition to the Arctic pole is vividly depicted. The Total commitment and The sense of duty of the commanding sailor At sea and the nurse on land appeal to the senses. A highly poetic way of writing. Vijayan.

Powerful beginning describing arctic exploration. Morphs into a convoluted romance. Great peek into fiction writing and bestsellers from a century ago.
