Asa Grant Hilliard III was born on August 22, 1933, in Galveston, TX. He was also known as Nana Baffour Amankwatia II. He was a professor of educational psychology who worked on indigenous ancient Afrikan history. His primary focus was on ancient Kemet (Egypt), culture, education, and society. He was the Fuller E. Callaway Professor of Urban Education at Georgia State University, with joint appointments in the Department of Educational Policy Studies and the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education. If you follow my Instagram account, you might've noticed that I feature a ton of clips showcasing the brilliance of Grandmaster Teacher Asa G Hilliard III. Without his work, many of us will still be lost.
