Based on the CVR recording transcript, it is most likely that the 9/11 AQ hijackers and terrorists were Islamist religious fanatics and zealots.

Mihdhar, Hazmi and the former Malaysian Army Captain Yazid Sufaat share the same fanaticism and zealotry.  As clearly reminded by the 9/11 Commission Report on page 158 : “Malaysian security was reported to be lax when it came to Islamic jihadists.  Also, other mujahideen wounded in combat had reportedly received treatment at the Endolite clinic and successfully concealed the origins of their injuries.”  Endolite is a clinic or prosthesis centre in Malaysia.  There is a clear network in Malaysia and the patrons, supporters and financiers of this network may possibly be the reason of political and official clerical backing and support.  The lax of official security must be representative of the position of the highest levels in government.

In my humble opinion, the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon was undoubtedly the most brazen and shocking terrorist attack conducted by a terrorist group and covert network in history.  AQ's capacity to achieve this outcome depended in large part on its meticulous intelligence and counter-intelligence preparations. These activities allowed AQ to exert a strong measure of control over its operating environment, leading to a confidence that events would unfold as planned. Moreover, intelligence and counter-intelligence allowed AQ to form highly accurate and realistic assessments of its environment, an outcome that helps to dispel notions of an organization and network consumed by a level of fanaticism that is representative at its operatives-level that distorts its perception of reality, or else frustrates its capacity to engage in rational decision making.  In short, the operatives executing the acts of terrorism under the guise of jihadist zealotry and fanaticism do discern such traits and characteristics but the hidden and concealed network of AQ leaders, patrons, financiers and high-level supporters remain furtively impassioned and distanced from such zealotry and fanaticism themselves.  They do not show nor lead by example.  According to religious tradition - the Mohammedan Creed stipulates that : They lead from the front and lead by example. They must eschew arrogance, exude humility, be truthful, be prepared to share any hardship with followers, and provide both vision and dedication to achieving a task at hand.

Something which they clearly lack.  They send brainwashed dogs to do their bidding.  In short, their cowardice is truly appalling!  A trait and character any observant global citizen can see.

Nevertheless, this book has traced AQ's collection and use of operational intelligence, with particular emphasis on how this intelligence may have influenced a range of operational decisions and how it may provide evidence of AQ's rational approach to decision making. The use of intelligence influenced critical elements of the operation, so that various key decisions were directly determined by operational intelligence accumulated over a lengthy period.

In 2017, I personally told a US military officer, Mark H. that “Someday you could be the Chairman of the Joint-Chiefs of Staff, who knows! Remember the TRUTH!”.

An overt reason for the United Nations Security Council’s scrutiny.
