Foncilla Adams (1922-1991) was a turquoise-eyed redhead who was typically cast as a "showgirl" or "chorus girl" in musicals. She was raised in Oklahoma, where she studied music at the Emerson School. Her first stage production was Remote Control, which premiered in 1935. After graduating from Central High School, she married her sweetheart Glenn Noble Jr and worked at a dental office. She later divorced him and flew to Hollywood to be a showgirl. It was something she didn't like to do.
George White's Scandals (1945) and Till the Clouds Roll By (1946) are among her films. She had two children named Nicholai and Robert with her fourth husband Robert Reed, who owned a lumber yard. As you could imagine, she didn’t need to work afterwards nor did her husband want her working. She lived the life of a socialite until her death. An interesting note is that she was in a lot of promotional photographs and posters of Presenting Lily Mars (1943) as one of the eight showgirls accompanying Judy Garland.
