Ferguson

Jeanne Ferguson (1930-1995) of Ireland was crowned Miss Pennsylvania U.S.A in 1952. It was afterwards that the offers flooded in. She was born in 1929 to Mr. and Mrs. John Graham Ferguson, Their family moved to Pennsylvania when she was a teenager, and she -being a statuesque blonde- was pulled into showbusiness. Although she was reportedly Miss Ireland and Miss Brevity, there's no evidence that she won those titles. She did win Miss World Hobby of 1949, Miss Cortland of 1950, and Miss Willow Grove of 1951 though.

She was a dancer at the Copacabana before appearing in films like Cattle Town (1952) and Gun Girls (1957). while doing pinups that were very popular with soldiers during the war. She changed her name to Jan Reeves, doing more films throughout the 1960s. Her whereabouts had been unknown for decades until we did some research and found out about her passing.

She was a talent who will be missed.

"It [U.S Citizen] is the best title of all." - Jeanne Ferguson
