Born in Tulia, Texas, Nancy "Carolyn" Hughey (1934-2014) was the daughter of Herschel Ferzel Hughey and Ola Lee Hooper.
After graduating as Valedictorian, she moved to Arkansas and married Hyman Wynn. She began modeling at local boutiques before doing gigs in New York. She was crowned National Swim for Health Queen, Queen of the World Motor Sports Show, and Queen of the Atlantic City's Steel Pier while modeling for magazines like Esquire, Tempo, See, and Photo.
She made headlines in May 1954 after successfully pursuing a lawsuit against World Motor Sports after they failed to compensate her after she was named "Queen of the Show". She was awarded $7,000 by the Supreme Court of New York City.
Eventually, she stopped modeling and devoted her life to raising her daughters. She pursued painting, especially life-like paintings of Indians, cowboys, western and rustic style images She died on September 4, 2014 in Seguin, Texas after a brief illness.

Samuel Clemens was born in the San Francisco Bay Area. After earning a Master of Arts at Drake University, he began writing as a hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic. He published Pat: A Biography of Hollywood's Blonde Starlet in 2020, later writing for publications like Classic Images, The Galileo Observer, and Western Clippings. In addition to writing, Samuel's interests include travel, gaming, and comedy. He plans to teach English in Japan someday.
Christian Robert Rotter of Vienna, Austria is the founder and Editor-In-Chief of Glamour Girls of the Silver Screen, which is a popular database and newsletter that has been in circulation since the 1990's. Robert has interviewed actresses including Joyce Mackenzie and Charlotte Austin. He has collaborated extensively with authors Richard Koper, Laura Wagner, Tom Lisanti, and Brian Walker.
