Are you in the mood for a nursery
rhyme?
A break from the routine and a little
fun time.
Here’s a popular story with added
spice,
More delicious than “dodo” on Sunday
‘After-service’ Rice…
You have heard it said that …
“Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
And invariably he had a great fall
All the government clinics
And state hospital medics
Couldn’t put Humpty together again”
But wait … The story doesn’t end
here.
It was one of those days
That the Saviour was passing along
the way
With a spring in his step and a
smile on his face,
He walked with a bounce for his
name was Grace.
The crowds followed, they clamored
for a touch
Peter the Rock complained “master
they are too much”
He had just stopped a blood flow
and awakened Jairus’ daughter
The Miracle man was on a roll, no
Stutter…
Humpty Dumpty was a well-to-do
lad, the talk of the town, a ladies–
man,
FAT with wealth, he was an astute
politician…
this fateful day, he fell, crash- landed, broken in
two.
No one knew what exactly to do!
As the disciples walked
closer they saw a crowd,
The smell of death was
pungent, darkness was all
around
They approached the wall
and saw the ambulance
the medical verdict for HD?
No chance!
But Master Jesus had
other plans
They thought he was here
to overthrow the Roman
government,
but He was born to free us
from death’s deadly
torment
For He came to answer and
quash sin’s wrath
To calm our hearts and
show us the blood-paved
path
It was one of those days you know
When he would deal death an awful
blow
For he came to liberate the
chained and direct the lost
To breathe new life and reverse
the rust
Humpty Dumpty was sprawled on
the floor
The rhyme says experts believed
he couldn’t walk anymore
Scientists had calculated the force
on impact
But they couldn’t forecast or
estimate the power of Christ’s
contact?
One touch and Humpty Dumpty
danced the Holy Ghost dance.
His encounter with Jesus gave him
a second chance…
For Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
No one knows what he was doing
there and he had a great fall
Till Christ came along and
ended all strife
Now Humpty reigns with
Christ in newness of Life
- 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
