Dt15:1 At the end of every seven years

Thou shalt make a release.

2 And this is the manner of the release:

Every creditor that lendeth ought

Unto his neighbour shall release it;

He shall not exact it of his neighbour,

Or of his brother;

Because it is called the LORD’S release.

3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: But that which is thine with thy brother

Thine hand shall release;

4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; For the LORD shall greatly bless thee

In the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee For an inheritance to possess it:

5 Only if thou carefully hearken Unto the voice of the LORD thy God,

To observe to do all these commandments

Which I command thee this day.

6 For the LORD thy God blesseth thee,

As he promised thee: and thou shalt lend

Unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; And thou shalt reign over many nations,

But they shall not reign over thee.

7 If there be among you a poor man

Of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates In thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, Thou shalt not harden thine heart,

Nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, And shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, In that which he wanteth.

9 Beware that there be not a thought

In thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, The year of release, is at hand;

And thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, And thou givest him nought; and he cry

Unto the LORD against thee,

And it be sin unto thee.

10 Thou shalt surely give him, And thine heart shall not be grieved

When thou givest unto him: because that

For this thing the LORD thy God shall bless Thee in all thy works, and in all

That thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease

Out of the land: therefore I command thee,

Saying, Thou shalt open thine hand

Wide unto thy brother, to thy poor,

And to thy needy, in thy land.

12 And if thy brother, an Hebrew man,

Or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee,

And serve thee six years; then in the seventh Year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, Thou shalt not let him go away empty:

14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally

Out of thy flock, and out of thy floor,

And out of thy winepress:

Of that wherewith the LORD thy God

Hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

15 And thou shalt remember that thou

Wast a bondman in the land of Egypt,

And the LORD thy God redeemed thee:

Therefore I command thee this thing to day.

16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee,

I will not go away from thee;

Because he loveth thee and thine house,

Because he is well with thee;

17 Then thou shalt take an aul,

And thrust it through his ear

Unto the door, and he shall be

Thy servant for ever. And also unto thy

Maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

18 It shall not seem hard unto thee,

When thou sendest him away free from thee;

For he hath been worth a double

Hired servant to thee, in serving thee

Six years: and the LORD thy God

Shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

19 All the firstling males that come

Of thy herd and of thy flock

Thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God:

Thou shalt do no work with the firstling

Of thy bullock, nor shear the

Firstling of thy sheep.

20 Thou shalt eat it before the LORD

Thy God year by year in the place which the LORD

Shall choose, thou and thy household.

21 And if there be any blemish therein,

As if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, Thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.

22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates:

The unclean and the clean person

Shall eat it alike, as the roebuck,

And as the hart.

23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; Thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

Deuteronomy 16:10

And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks

Unto the LORD thy God with a tribute

Of a freewill offering of thine hand,

Which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, According as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: Deuteronomy 28 KJV

1 And it shall come to pass,

If thou shalt hearken

Diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, To observe and to do all his commandments

Which I command thee this day,

That the LORD thy God will set thee on high Above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, And overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken

Unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city,

And blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body,

And the fruit of thy ground,

And the fruit of thy cattle,

The increase of thy kine,

And the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, And blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up Against thee to be smitten before thy face: They shall come out against thee one way,

And flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing

Upon thee in thy storehouses,

And in all that thou settest thine hand unto; And he shall bless thee in the land

Which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people Unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee,

If thou shalt keep the commandments

Of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see

That thou art called by the name of the LORD; And they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee

Plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, And in the fruit of thy cattle,

And in the fruit of thy ground,

In the land which the LORD sware

Unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee

His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain Unto thy land in his season,

And to bless all the work of thine hand:

And thou shalt lend unto many nations,

And thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head,

And not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, And thou shalt not be beneath;

If that thou hearken

Unto the commandments of the LORD thy God,

Which I command thee this day,

To observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside

From any of the words

Which I command thee this day,

To the right hand, or to the left,

To go after other gods to serve them.

29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: But those things which are revealed belong unto us And to our children for ever,

That we may do all the words of this law.

Deuteronomy 30 KJV

1 And it shall come to pass,

When all these things are come upon thee,

The blessing and the curse,

Which I have set before thee,

And thou shalt call them to mind

Among all the nations,

Whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,

2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God,

And shalt obey his voice according to all

That I command thee this day, thou and thy children, With all thine heart, and with all thy soul; 3 That then the LORD thy God

Will turn thy captivity,

And have compassion upon thee,

And will return and gather thee

From all the nations, whither the LORD

Thy God hath scattered thee.

4 If any of thine be driven out

Unto the outmost parts of heaven,

From thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, And from thence will he fetch thee:

5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee

Into the land which thy fathers possessed,

And thou shalt possess it;

And he will do thee good,

And multiply thee above thy fathers.

6 And the LORD thy God

Will circumcise thine heart,

And the heart of thy seed,

To love the LORD thy God

With all thine heart,

And with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

7 And the LORD thy God will put

All these curses upon thine enemies,

And on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

8 And thou shalt return and obey

The voice of the LORD, and do all

His commandments which I command thee this day.

9 And the LORD thy God will make

Thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, In the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, And in the fruit of thy land, for good:

For the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, As he rejoiced over thy fathers:

10 If thou shalt hearken

Unto the voice of the LORD thy God,

To keep his commandments and

His statutes which are written

In this book of the law,

And if thou turn unto the LORD thy God

With all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

11 For this commandment which I

Command thee this day,

It is not hidden from thee,

Neither is it far off.

12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven,

And bring it unto us,

That we may hear it, and do it?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea,

That thou shouldest say,

Who shall go over the sea for us,

And bring it unto us,

That we may hear it, and do it?

14 But the word is very nigh unto thee,

In thy mouth, and in thy heart,

That thou mayest do it.

15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day

To love the LORD thy God,

To walk in his ways, and to keep

His commandments

And his statutes and his judgments,

That thou mayest live and multiply:

And the LORD thy God

Shall bless thee in the land

Whither thou goest to possess it.

17 But if thine heart turn away,

So that thou wilt not hear,

But shalt be drawn away,

And worship other gods, and serve them;

18 I denounce unto you this day,

That ye shall surely perish,

And that ye shall not prolong your days

Upon the land, whither thou passest over

Jordan to go to possess it.

19 I call heaven and earth to record

This day against you, that I have set

Before you life and death, blessing and cursing: Therefore choose life, that both thou

And thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God,

And that thou mayest obey his voice,

And that thou mayest cleave unto him:

For he is thy life, and the length of thy days: That thou mayest dwell in the land

Which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,

To Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Dt33:1 And this is the blessing,

Wherewith Moses the man of God

Blessed the children of Israel before his death.

2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai,

And rose up from Seir unto them;

He shined forth from mount Paran,

And he came with ten thousands of saints:

From his right hand went a fiery law for them.

3 Yea, he loved the people;

All his saints are in thy hand:

And they sat down at thy feet;

Every one shall receive of thy words

7 And this is the blessing of Judah:

And he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, And bring him unto his people:

Let his hands be sufficient for him;

And be thou an help to him from his enemies.

11 Bless, LORD, his substance,

And accept the work of his hands:

Smite through the loins of them

That rise against him,

And of them that hate him, that they rise not again.

Dt27:11 And Moses charged the people

The same day, saying,

12 These shall stand upon mount Gerizim

To bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah,

And Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:

CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL

Dt27:13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal To curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher,

And Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

14 And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all The men of Israel with a loud voice,

15 Cursed be the man that maketh

Any graven or molten image,

An abomination unto the LORD,

The work of the hands of the craftsman,

And putteth it in a secret place.

And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

16 Cursed be he that setteth light

By his father or his mother.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

17 Cursed be he that removeth

His neighbour’s landmark.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

18 Cursed be he that maketh the blind

To wander out of the way.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

19 Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment Of the stranger, fatherless, and widow.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

20 Cursed be he that lieth with his father’s wife; Because he uncovereth his father’s skirt.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

21 Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, The daughter of his father,

Or the daughter of his mother.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

23 Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

24 Cursed be he that smiteth

His neighbour secretly.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

25 Cursed be he that taketh reward

To slay an innocent person.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not

All the words of this law to do them.

And all the people shall say, Amen.

Dt28:15 But it shall come to pass,

If thou wilt not hearken

Unto the voice of the LORD thy God,

To observe to do all his commandments

And his statutes which I command thee this day; That all these curses shall come upon thee, And overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city,

And cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body,

And the fruit of thy land,

The increase of thy kine,

And the flocks of thy sheep.

19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, And cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing,

Vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest Thine hand unto for to do,

Until thou be destroyed,

And until thou perish quickly;

Because of the wickedness of thy doings,

Whereby thou hast forsaken me.

21 The LORD shall make the pestilence

Cleave unto thee, until he have

Consumed thee from off the land,

Whither thou goest to possess it.

22 The LORD shall smite thee

With a consumption, and with a fever,

And with an inflammation,

And with an extreme burning,

And with the sword, and with blasting,

And with mildew; and they

Shall pursue thee until thou perish.

23 And thy heaven that is over thy head

Shall be brass, and the earth that is

Under thee shall be iron.

24 The LORD shall make the rain

Of thy land powder and dust:

From heaven shall it come down upon thee,

Until thou be destroyed.

25 The LORD shall cause thee to be

Smitten before thine enemies:

Thou shalt go out one way against them,

And flee seven ways before them:

And shalt be removed into all

The kingdoms of the earth.

26 And thy carcase shall be meat

Unto all fowls of the air,

And unto the beasts of the earth,

And no man shall fray them away.

27 The LORD will smite thee

With the botch of Egypt,

And with the emerods, and with the scab,

And with the itch,

Whereof thou canst not be healed.

28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness,

And blindness, and astonishment of heart:

29 And thou shalt grope at noonday,

As the blind gropeth in darkness,

And thou shalt not prosper in thy ways:

And thou shalt be only oppressed

And spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.

30 Thou shalt betroth a wife,

And another man shall lie with her:

Thou shalt build an house,

And thou shalt not dwell therein:

Thou shalt plant a vineyard,

And shalt not gather the grapes thereof.

31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, And thou shalt not eat thereof:

Thine ass shall be violently taken away

From before thy face,

And shall not be restored to thee:

Thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, And thou shalt have none to rescue them.

32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given Unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, And fail with longing for them all the day long: And there shall be no might in thine hand.

33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, Shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; And thou shalt be only

Oppressed and crushed always:

34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight

Of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees,

And in the legs, with a sore botch

That cannot be healed, from the sole

Of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king

Which thou shalt set over thee,

Unto a nation which neither thou

Nor thy fathers have known;

And there shalt thou serve

Other gods, wood and stone.

37 And thou shalt become an astonishment,

A proverb, and a byword, among all nations

Whither the LORD shall lead thee.

38 Thou shalt carry much seed

Out into the field,

And shalt gather but little in;

For the locust shall consume it.

39 Thou shalt plant vineyards,

And dress them, but shalt neither

Drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes;

For the worms shall eat them.

40 Thou shalt have olive trees

Throughout all thy coasts,

But thou shalt not anoint

Thyself with the oil;

For thine olive shall cast his fruit.

41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters,

But thou shalt not enjoy them;

For they shall go into captivity.

42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land

Shall the locust consume.

43 The stranger that is within thee

Shall get up above thee very high;

And thou shalt come down very low.

44 He shall lend to thee,

And thou shalt not lend to him:

He shall be the head,

And thou shalt be the tail.

45 Moreover all these curses shall come

Upon thee, and shall pursue thee,

And overtake thee, till thou be destroyed;

Because thou hearkenedst

Not unto the voice of the LORD thy God,

To keep his commandments and his statutes

Which he commanded thee:

46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign

And for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

47 Because thou servedst not the

LORD thy God with joyfulness,

And with gladness of heart,

For the abundance of all things;

48 Therefore shalt thou serve

Thine enemies which the LORD

Shall send against thee,

In hunger, and in thirst,

And in nakedness,

And in want of all things:

And he shall put a yoke

Of iron upon thy neck,

Until he have destroyed thee.

49 The LORD shall bring a nation

Against thee from far,

From the end of the earth,

As swift as the eagle flieth;

A nation whose tongue

Thou shalt not understand;

50 A nation of fierce countenance,

Which shall not regard

The person of the old,

Nor shew favour to the young:

51 And he shall eat the

Fruit of thy cattle,

And the fruit of thy land,

Until thou be destroyed:

Which also shall not leave

Thee either corn, wine, or oil,

Or the increase of thy kine,

Or flocks of thy sheep,

Until he have destroyed thee.

52 And he shall besiege thee

In all thy gates, until thy high

And fenced walls come down,

Wherein thou trustedst,

Throughout all thy land:

And he shall besiege thee

In all thy gates

Throughout all thy land, which the

LORD thy God hath given thee.

53 And thou shalt eat the fruit

Of thine own body,

The flesh of thy sons

And of thy daughters,

Which the LORD thy God hath given thee,

In the siege, and in the straitness,

Wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: 54 So that the man that is tender

Among you, and very delicate,

His eye shall be evil toward his brother,

And toward the wife of his bosom,

And toward the remnant of his

Children which he shall leave:

55 So that he will not give

To any of them of the flesh

Of his children whom he shall eat:

Because he hath nothing left him

In the siege, and in the straitness,

Wherewith thine enemies

Shall distress thee in all thy gates.

56 The tender and delicate woman among you, Which would not adventure

To set the sole of her foot upon the ground For delicateness and tenderness,

Her eye shall be evil toward the husband

Of her bosom, and toward her son,

And toward her daughter,

57 And toward her young one that

Cometh out from between her feet,

And toward her children which she shall bear: For she shall eat them for want of all things Secretly in the siege and straitness,

Wherewith thine enemy shall distress

Thee in thy gates.

58 If thou wilt not observe to do

All the words of this law

That are written in this book,

That thou mayest fear

This glorious and fearful name,

THE LORD THY GOD;

59 Then the LORD will make Thy plagues wonderful,

And the plagues of thy seed,

Even great plagues,

And of long continuance,

And sore sicknesses,

And of long continuance.

60 Moreover he will bring upon thee

All the diseases of Egypt,

Which thou wast afraid of;

And they shall cleave unto thee.

61 Also every sickness, and every plague,

Which is not written in the

Book of this law,

Them will the LORD bring upon thee,

Until thou be destroyed.

62 And ye shall be left few in number,

Whereas ye were as the stars of heaven

For multitude;

Because thou wouldest not obey

The voice of the LORD thy God.

63 And it shall come to pass,

That as the LORD rejoiced

Over you to do you good,

And to multiply you;

So the LORD will rejoice over you

To destroy you, and to bring you to nought; And ye shall be plucked from off the land

Whither thou goest to possess it.

64 And the LORD shall scatter thee

Among all people, from the one end

Of the earth even unto the other;

And there thou shalt serve other gods,

Which neither thou nor thy fathers

Have known, even wood and stone.

65 And among these nations shalt thou

Find no ease, neither shall the sole

Of thy foot have rest:

But the LORD shall give thee there

A trembling heart,

And failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

66 And thy life shall hang in doubt

Before thee; and thou shalt fear

Day and night,

And shalt have none assurance of thy life:

67 In the morning thou shalt say,

Would God it were even!

And at even thou shalt say,

Would God it were morning!

For the fear of thine heart

Wherewith thou shalt fear,

And for the sight of thine eyes

Which thou shalt see.

68 And the LORD shall bring thee

Into Egypt again with ships,

By the way whereof I spake unto thee,

Thou shalt see it no more again:

And there ye shall be sold Unto your enemies

For bondmen and bondwomen,

And no man shall buy you.

Dt31:22 So that the generation to come

Of your children that shall rise up

After you, and the stranger that shall come From a far land, shall say,

When they see the plagues of that land,

And the sicknesses which the

LORD hath laid upon it;

23 And that the whole land

Thereof is brimstone, and salt,

And burning, that it is not sown,

Nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, Like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah,

Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew In his anger, and in his wrath:

24 Even all nations shall say,

Wherefore hath the LORD done thus

Unto this land?

What meaneth the heat of this great anger?

25 Then men shall say, Because they have

Forsaken the covenant of the LORD God

Of their fathers, which he made with them

When he brought them forth out

Of the land of Egypt:

26 For they went and served other gods,

And worshipped them,

Gods whom they knew not,

And whom he had not given unto them:

27 And the anger of the LORD was kindled

Against this land, to bring upon it

All the curses

That are written in this book:

28 And the LORD rooted them out

Of their land in anger,

And in wrath, and in great indignation,

And cast them into another land,

As it is this day.

20 For when I shall have brought them

Into the land

Which I sware unto their fathers,

That floweth with milk and honey;

And they shall have eaten and

Filled themselves, and waxen fat;

Then will they turn unto other gods,

And serve them, and provoke me,

And break my covenant.

21 And it shall come to pass,

When many evils and troubles

Are befallen them, that this song

Shall testify against them as a witness;

For it shall not be forgotten out

Of the mouths of their seed: For I know their imagination

Which they go about,

Even now, before I have brought them

Into the land which I sware.

Dt32:18 Of the Rock that begat thee

Thou art unmindful,

And hast forgotten God that formed thee.

19 And when the LORD saw it,

He abhorred them, because of the provoking

Of his sons, and of his daughters.

20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be:

for they are a very froward generation,

children in whom is no faith.

and went forth to meet him, and cried,

Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel

that cometh in the name of the Lord.

KJV

John 20:29

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas,

because thou hast seen me,

thou hast believed:

blessed are they that have not seen,

and yet have believed.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him

should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way, the truth, and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

But as many as received him,

to them gave he power

to become the sons of God,

even to them that believe on his name:

Jesus answered, Verily, verily,

I say unto thee,

Except a man be born again,

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5

Jesus answered, Verily, verily,

I say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water

And of the Spirit,

He cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 16:13

Is come, he will guide you into all truth:

For he shall not speak of himself;

But whatsoever he shall hear,

That shall he speak:

And he will shew you things to come.

John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him

Must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 14:16

And I will pray the Father,

And he shall give you another Comforter,

That he may abide with you for ever;

But the Comforter,

Which is the Holy Ghost,

Whom the Father will send in my name,

He shall teach you all things,

And bring all things to your remembrance,

Whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 8:32

And ye shall know the truth,

And the truth shall make you free.

John 14:1

Let not your heart be troubled:

Ye believe in God, believe also in me.

A new commandment I give unto you,

That ye love one another;

As I have loved you,

That ye also love one another.

John 14:15

If ye love me, keep my commandments

John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you,

He that heareth my word,

And believeth on him that sent me, Hath everlasting life,

And shall not come into condemnation;

But is passed from death unto life

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man

Keep my saying, he shall never see death.

8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself,

My honour is nothing:

It is my Father that honoureth me;

Of whom ye say, that he is your God:

55 Yet ye have not known him;

But I know him: and if I should say,

I know him not, I shall be a liar

Like unto you: but I know him,

And keep his saying.

59 Then took they up stones

To cast at him: but Jesus hid himself,

And went out of the temple,

Going through the midst of them,

And so passed by.

John 15:5

I am the vine, ye are the branches:

He that abideth in me, and I in him,

The same bringeth forth much fruit:

For without me ye can do nothing.

Sanctify them through thy truth:

Thy word is truth.

John 17:3

And this is life eternal,

That they might know thee

The only true God,

And Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL

John 3:18

He that believeth on him is not condemned:

But he that believeth not is condemned

Already, because he hath not believed

In the name of the only begotten Son of God.

8:19 Then said they unto him,

Where is thy Father?

Jesus answered, Ye neither know me,

Nor my Father: if ye had known me,

Ye should have known my Father also.

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me,

And shall die in your sins:

Whither I go, ye cannot come.

23 Ye are from beneath;

I am from above:

Ye are of this world;

I am not of this world.

24 I said therefore unto you,

That ye shall die in your sins:

For if ye believe not that I am he,

Ye shall die in your sins.

30 As he spake these words,

Many believed on him.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews

Which believed on him,

If ye continue in my word,

Then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth,

And the truth shall make you free.

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily,

I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin

Is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not

In the house for ever:

But the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore

Shall make you free,

Ye shall be free indeed.

37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed;

But ye seek to kill me,

Because my word hath no place in you.

38 I speak that which I have seen

With my Father: and ye do that which

Ye have seen with your father.

39 They answered and said unto him,

Abraham is our father.

Jesus saith unto them,

If ye were Abraham’s children,

Ye would do the works of Abraham.

40 But now ye seek to kill me,

A man that hath told you the truth,

Which I have heard of God:

This did not Abraham.

41 Ye do the deeds of your father.

Then said they to him,

We be not born of fornication;

We have one Father, even God.

42 Jesus said unto them,

If God were your Father,

Ye would love me:

For I proceeded forth

And came from God;

Neither came I of myself,

But he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech?

Even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil,

And the lusts of your father ye will do.

He was a murderer from the beginning,

And abode not in the truth,

Because there is no truth in him.

When he speaketh a lie,

He speaketh of his own:

For he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth,

Ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin?

And if I say the truth,

Why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God’s words:

Ye therefore hear them not,

Because ye are not of God.

Part 17. BLESSED - 1 JOHN

1Jn1:3

That which we have seen and heard

Declare we unto you, that ye also

May have fellowship with us: and truly

Our fellowship is with the Father,

And with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you,

That your joy may be full.

5 This then is the message Which we have heard of him,

And declare unto you,

That God is light,

And in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship

With him, and walk in darkness,

We lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light,

As he is in the light,

We have fellowship one with another,

And the blood of Jesus Christ his Son

Cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin,

We deceive ourselves,

And the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins,

He is faithful and just

To forgive us our sins,

And to cleanse us

From all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that

We have not sinned,

We make him a liar,

And his word is not in us.

1Jn2:

3 And hereby we do know

That we know him,

If we keep his commandments.

4 He that saith, I know him,

And keepeth not his commandments,

Is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word,

In him verily is the love of God

Perfected: hereby know we

That we are in him.

6 He that saith he abideth

In him ought himself

Also so to walk, even as he walked.

9 He that saith he is in the light,

And hateth his brother,

Is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother

Abideth in the light,

And there is none occasion

Of stumbling in him.

11 But he that hateth his brother

Is in darkness, and walketh in darkness,

And knoweth not whither he goeth,

Because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

15 Love not the world, neither the things That are in the world.

If any man love the world,

The love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world,

The lust of the flesh,

And the lust of the eyes,

And the pride of life,

Is not of the Father,

But is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away,

And the lust thereof:

But he that doeth the will

Of God abideth for ever.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth

That Jesus is the Christ?

He is antichrist, that denieth

The Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son,

The same hath not the Father:

(but) he that acknowledgeth

The Son hath the Father also.

25 And this is the promise that he

Hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written

Unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have

Received of him abideth in you,

And ye need not that any man teach you:

But as the same anointing

Teacheth you of all things,

And is truth, and is no lie,

And even as it hath taught you,

Ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children,

Abide in him; that, when he

Shall appear, we may have confidence,

And not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous,

Ye know that every one that doeth

Righteousness is born of him.

1Jn3:

1 Behold, what manner of love

The Father hath bestowed upon us,

That we should be called the sons of God:

Therefore the world knoweth us not,

Because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God,

And it doth not yet appear

What we shall be: but we know that,

When he shall appear, we shall be like him; For we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him Purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

4 Whosoever committeth sin

Transgresseth also the law:

For sin is the transgression of the law.

5 And ye know that he was manifested

To take away our sins;

And in him is no sin.

6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not:

Whosoever sinneth hath not seen him,

Neither known him.

7 Little children, let no man deceive you:

He that doeth righteousness is righteous,

Even as he is righteous.

8 He that committeth (PRACTICES) sin

Is of the devil; for the devil sinneth

From the beginning. For this purpose

The Son of God was manifested, that he

Might destroy the works of the devil.

9 Whosoever is born of God

Doth not commit sin;

For his seed remaineth in him:

And he cannot sin,

Because he is born of God.

10 In this the children of God are manifest, And the children of the devil:

Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, Neither he that loveth not his brother.

11 For this is the message that ye

Heard from the beginning,

That we should love one another.

12 Not as Cain, who was

Of that wicked one,

And slew his brother.

And wherefore slew he him?

Because his own works were evil,

And his brother’s righteous.

13 Marvel not, my brethren,

If the world hate you.

14 We know that we have passed

From death unto life, because

We love the brethren. He that loveth not

His brother abideth in death.

15 Whosoever hateth his brother

Is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer Hath eternal life abiding in him.

16 Hereby perceive we the love of God,

Because he laid down his life for us:

And we ought to lay down

Our lives for the brethren.

17 But whoso hath this world’s good,

And seeth his brother have need,

And shutteth up his bowels

Of compassion from him,

How dwelleth the love of God in him?

18 My little children,

Let us not love in word,

Neither in tongue;

But in deed and in truth.

19 And hereby we know that

We are of the truth, and shall

Assure our hearts before him.

20 For if our heart condemn us,

God is greater than our heart,

And knoweth all things.

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn

Us not, then have we

Confidence toward God.

22 And whatsoever we ask,

We receive of him,

Because we keep his commandments,

And do those things that are

Pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment,

That we should believe

On the name of his Son Jesus Christ,

And love one another,

As he gave us commandment.

24 And he that keepeth his commandments

Dwelleth in him, and he in him.

And hereby we know that he abideth in us,

By the Spirit which he hath given us.

1Jn4:

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit,

But try the spirits whether

They are of God: because many false prophets Are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:

Every spirit that confesseth that

Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not

That Jesus Christ is come in the flesh

Is not of God: and this is

That spirit of antichrist,

Whereof ye have heard that it should come;

And even now already is it in the world.

4 Ye are of God, little children,

And have overcome them:

Because greater is he that is in you,

Than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world:

Therefore speak they of the world,

And the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God

Heareth us; he that is not of God

Heareth not us. Hereby know we

The spirit of truth,

And the spirit of error.

7 Beloved, let us love one another: For love is of God;

And every one that loveth

Is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God;

For God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love

Of God toward us, because that God

Sent his only begotten Son into the world,

That we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God,

But that he loved us, and sent his Son

To be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us,

We ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time.

If we love one another,

God dwelleth in us,

And his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him,

And he in us, because

He hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify

That the Father sent the Son

To be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that

Jesus is the Son of God,

God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 And we have known and believed The love that God hath to us.

God is love; and he that dwelleth in love

Dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect,

That we may have boldness in the day

Of judgment: because as he is,

So are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love;

But perfect love casteth out fear:

Because fear hath torment. He that feareth

Is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

20 If a man say, I love God,

And hateth his brother, he is a liar:

For he that loveth not his brother

Whom he hath seen, how can he love

God whom he hath not seen?

21 And this commandment have we from him,

That he who loveth God love his brother also.

1Jn5:

1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus

Is the Christ is born of God:

And every one that loveth him that begat

Loveth him also that is begotten of him.

2 By this we know that we

Love the children of God,

When we love God, and keep his commandments.

3 For this is the love of God, That we keep his commandments:

And his commandments are not grievous.

4 For whatsoever is born of God

Overcometh the world: and this

Is the victory

That overcometh the world,

Even our faith.

5 Who is he that overcometh the world,

But he that believeth that Jesus

Is the Son of God?

6 This is he that came by water and blood,

Even Jesus Christ; not by water only,

But by water and blood. And it is the Spirit That beareth witness,

Because the Spirit is truth.

7 For there are three that bear

Record in heaven, the Father, the Word,

And the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

8 And there are three that bear

Witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, And the blood: and these three agree in one.

9 If we receive the witness of men,

The witness of God is greater:

For this is the witness of God

Which he hath testified of his Son.

10 He that believeth on the Son of God

Hath the witness in himself:

He that believeth not

God hath made him a liar;

Because he believeth not

The record that God gave of his Son.

11 And this is the record,

That God hath given to us eternal life,

And this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life;

And he that hath not the

Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you

That believe on the name of the Son of God; That ye may know that ye have eternal life, And that ye may believe

On the name of the Son of God.

14 And this is the confidence

That we have in him, that,

If we ask any thing according

To his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us,

Whatsoever we ask, we know that we have

The petitions that we desired of him.

16 If any man see his brother sin a sin

Which is not unto death, he shall ask,

And he shall give him life for them

That sin not unto death.

There is a sin unto death:

I do not say that he shall pray for it.

17 All unrighteousness is sin:

And there is a sin not unto death.

18 We know that whosoever is born of God Sinneth not; but he that is begotten

Of God keepeth himself,

And that wicked one toucheth him not.

19 And we know that we are of God,

And the whole world lieth in wickedness.

20 And we know that the Son of God

Is come, and hath given us

An understanding, that we may know him

That is true, and we are in him

That is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.

This is the true God, and eternal life.

21 Little children,

Keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Part 18. BLESSED - 2&3 John

2John

1 The elder unto the elect lady

And her children, whom I love in the truth; And not I only, but also all

They that have known the truth;

2 For the truth’s sake,

Which dwelleth in us,

And shall be with us for ever.

3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, From God the Father,

And from the Lord Jesus Christ,

The Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4 I rejoiced greatly that I found

Of thy children walking in truth,

As we have received a commandment

From the Father.

5 And now I beseech thee, lady,

Not as though

I wrote a new commandment unto thee,

But that which we had from the beginning,

That we love one another.

6 And this is love, that we walk

After his commandments.

This is the commandment,

That, as ye have heard

From the beginning,

Ye should walk in it.

7 For many deceivers are entered

Into the world, who confess not

That Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.

This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not

Those things which we have wrought,

But that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not In the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,

He hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you,

And bring not this doctrine,

Receive him not into your house,

Neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed

Is partaker of his evil deeds.

12 Having many things to write unto you,

I would not write with paper and ink:

But I trust to come unto you,

And speak face to face,

That our joy may be full.

13 The children of thy elect sister

Greet thee. Amen.

3John

1 The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius,

Whom I love in the truth.

2 Beloved, I wish above all things

That thou mayest prosper and be in health,

Even as thy soul prospereth.

3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came And testified of the truth that is in thee, Even as thou walkest in the truth.

4 I have no greater joy than to hear

That my children walk in truth.

5 Beloved, thou doest faithfully Whatsoever thou doest

To the brethren, and to strangers;

6 Which have borne witness of thy charity

Before the church: whom if thou bring

Forward on their journey

After a godly sort, thou shalt do well:

7 Because that for his name’s sake

They went forth,

Taking nothing of the Gentiles.

8 We therefore ought to receive such, that

We might be fellowhelpers to the truth.

9 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes,

Who loveth to have the preeminence

Among them, receiveth us not.

10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember

His deeds which he doeth,

Prating against us with malicious words:

And not content therewith,

Neither doth he himself receive the brethren, And forbiddeth them that would,

And casteth them out of the church.

11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil,

But that which is good.

He that doeth good is of God:

But he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

12 Demetrius hath good report of all men, And of the truth itself: yea,

And we also bear record;

And ye know that our record is true.

13 I had many things to write,

But I will not

With ink and pen write unto thee:

14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee,

And we shall speak face to face.

Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee.

Greet the friends by name.

Bbbbwe will serve the LORD.

and will give you this land.'

Image 23

Part 20. BLESSED - JUDGES

Judges 5:24

Blessed above women shall Jael the wife

of Heber the Kenite be,

blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

Judges 13:24

And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.

25 And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

Jg14:3 And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.

4 But his father and his mother knew not

that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time

the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

19 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon,

and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them

which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.

20 But Samson's wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.

Jg15: And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.

14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD

came mightily upon him, and the

cords that were upon his arms

became as flax that was burnt with fire,

and his bands loosed from off his hands.

15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass,

and put forth his hand, and took it,

and slew a thousand men therewith.

And he judged Israel in the days

of the Philistines twenty years.

Jg16:20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself.

And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee,

and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged

of the Philistines for my two eyes.

Jg 17:5 And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim,

and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.

6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Jg20:19 And the children of Israel rose up in the morning, and encamped against Gibeah.

20 And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin; and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight against them at Gibeah.

21 And the children of Benjamin came forth

out of Gibeah, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites that day twenty and two thousand men.

22 And the people the men of Israel

encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the place where they put themselves in array the first day.

23 (And the children of Israel went up

and wept before the LORD until even,

and asked counsel of the LORD, saying,

Shall I go up again to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother? And the LORD said,

Go up against him.)

24 And the children of Israel came near against the children of Benjamin the second day.

25 And Benjamin went forth against them

out of Gibeah the second day,

and destroyed down to the ground

of the children of Israel again

eighteen thousand men;

all these drew the sword.

26 Then all the children of Israel, and all the people, went up, and came unto the house of God, and wept, and sat there before the LORD, and fasted

that day until even, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

27 And the children of Israel inquired of the LORD, (for the ark of the covenant

of God was there in those days,

28 And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar,

the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days,) saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother,

or shall I cease? And the LORD said, Go up; for to morrow I will deliver them into thine hand.

Judges 4:4

Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.

Judges 2:3

Therefore I also said, 'I will not drive them out before you; but they will become as thorns

in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.'"

Judges 9:10

Then the trees said to the fig tree,

'You come, reign over us!'

Judges 1:4

Judah went up, and the Lord gave the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hands,

and they defeated ten thousand men at Bezek.

Judges 3:4

They were for testing Israel, to find out

if they would obey the commandments of the Lord, which He had commanded their fathers through Moses.

PART 21. BLESSED - RUTH

Ruth 2:19

And her mother in law said unto her,

Where hast thou gleaned to day?

and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he

that did take knowledge of thee.

And she shewed her mother in law with whom

she had wrought, and said, The man's name

with whom I wrought to day is Boaz.

Ruth 1:16

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee:

for whither thou goest, I will go;

and where thou lodgest, I will lodge:

thy people shall be my people,

and thy God my God:

Ruth 1:1

Now it came to pass in the days

when the judges ruled

for she had heard in the country of Moab

how that the LORD had visited his people

in giving them bread.

Ruth 1:14

And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law;

but Ruth clave unto her.

Part 22. BLESSED – 1 SAMUEL

2:1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD,

Mine horn is exalted in the LORD:

My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies;

Because I rejoice in thy salvation.

2 There is none holy as the LORD:

For there is none beside thee:

Neither is there any rock like our God.

3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly;

Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth:

For the LORD is a God of knowledge,

And by him actions are weighed.

4 The bows of the mighty men are broken,

And they that stumbled are girded with strength.

5 They that were full have hired out

Themselves for bread; and they that were hungry Ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; And she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive:

He bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich:

He bringeth low, and lifteth up.

8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,

And lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, To set them among princes, and to make them Inherit the throne of glory:

For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, And he hath set the world upon them.

9 He will keep the feet of his saints,

And the wicked shall be silent in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail.

10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken To pieces; out of heaven shall he

Thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge

The ends of the earth; and he shall give

Strength unto his king, and exalt

The horn of his anointed.

18 But Samuel ministered before the LORD,

Being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

19 Moreover his mother made him a little coat, And brought it to him from year to year,

When she came up with her husband to offer

The yearly sacrifice.

20 And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife,

And said, The LORD give thee seed

Of this woman for the loan which

Is lent to the LORD. And they went

Unto their own home.

21 And the LORD visited Hannah,

So that she conceived, and bare three sons

And two daughters. And the child Samuel

Grew before the LORD.

15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD

As great delight in burnt offerings

And sacrifices, as in obeying the voice

Of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better

Than sacrifice, and to hearken Than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin

Of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as

Iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast

Rejected the word of the LORD,

He hath also rejected thee from being king.

24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: For I have transgressed the commandment

Of the LORD, and thy words:

Because I feared the people,

And obeyed their voice.

23:2 Therefore David inquired of the LORD,

Saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines?

And the LORD said unto David, Go,

And smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.

14 And David abode in the wilderness

In strong holds, and remained in a mountain In the wilderness of Ziph.

And Saul sought him every day,

But God delivered him not into his hand.

18 And they two made a covenant

Before the LORD: and David abode

In the wood, and Jonathan went to his house.

25:15 But the men were very good unto us,

And we were not hurt, neither Missed we any thing, as long as we were

Conversant with them, when we were in the fields: 16 They were a wall unto us

Both by night and day, all the while

We were with them keeping the sheep.

17 Now therefore know and consider

What thou wilt do; for evil is determined

Against our master, and against

All his household: for he is such a son of

Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.

28 I pray thee, forgive the trespass

Of thine handmaid: for the LORD

Will certainly make my lord a sure house;

Because my lord fighteth the battles

Of the LORD, and evil hath not been found

In thee all thy days.

32 And David said to Abigail,

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel,

Which sent thee this day to meet me:

33 And blessed be thy advice,

And blessed be thou, which hast kept me

This day from coming to shed blood,

And from avenging myself with mine own hand.

34 For in very deed, as the LORD God

Of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back From hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted And come to meet me, surely there had not been Left unto Nabal by the morning light

Any that pisseth against the wall.

35 So David received of her hand

That which she had brought him,

And said unto her, Go up in peace

To thine house; see, I have hearkened

To thy voice, and have accepted thy person.

36 And Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold,

He held a feast in his house,

Like the feast of a king; and Nabal’s heart Was merry within him, for he was very drunken: Wherefore she told him nothing,

Less or more, until the morning light.

37 But it came to pass in the morning,

When the wine was gone out of Nabal,

And his wife had told him these things,

That his heart died within him,

And he became as a stone.

38 And it came to pass about ten days after, That the LORD smote Nabal, that he died.

39 And when David heard that Nabal was dead, He said, Blessed be the LORD,

That hath pleaded the cause of my reproach

From the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant From evil: for the LORD hath returned

The wickedness of Nabal upon his own head.

And David sent and communed with Abigail, To take her to him to wife.

40 And when the servants of David were come To Abigail to Carmel, they spake unto her,

Saying, David sent us unto thee,

To take thee to him to wife.

41 And she arose, and bowed herself

On her face to the earth, and said, Behold, Let thine handmaid be a servant to wash

The feet of the servants of my lord.

42 And Abigail hasted, and arose,

And rode upon an ass, with five damsels

Of hers that went after her;

And she went after the messengers of David, And became his wife.

43 David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel;

And they were also both of them his wives.

44 But Saul had given Michal his daughter,

David’s wife, to Phalti the son of Laish,

Which was of Gallim.

26:23 The LORD render to every man his righteousness And his faithfulness: for the LORD delivered thee Into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth Mine hand against the LORD’S anointed.

24 And, behold, as thy life was much set

By this day in mine eyes, so let my life Be much set by in the eyes of the LORD,

And let him deliver me out.

25 Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, My son David: thou shalt both do great things, And also shalt still prevail.

So David went on his way,

And Saul returned to his place.

And Saul said, Blessed be ye of the LORD;

For ye have compassion on me.

1 Samuel 16:7

But the Lord said to Samuel,

“Do not look at his appearance

Or at the height of his stature,

Because I have rejected him;

For God sees not as man sees,

For man looks at the outward appearance,

But the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 18:1

And it came to pass, when he had made

An end of speaking unto Saul,

That the soul of Jonathan was knit

With the soul of David, and Jonathan

Loved him as his own soul.

1 Samuel 3:1

And the child Samuel ministered Unto the LORD before Eli.

And the word of the LORD was precious

In those days; there was no open vision.

1 Samuel 1:13

Now Hannah, she spake in her heart;

Only her lips moved, but her voice

Was not heard: therefore Eli thought

She had been drunken.

PART 23. BLESSED - 2 SAMUEL

2 Samuel 2:5

And David sent messengers unto the men

Of Jabeshgilead, and said unto them,

Blessed be ye of the LORD,

That ye have shewed

This kindness unto your lord,

Even unto Saul, and have buried him.

6:12 And it was told

King David, saying,

The LORD hath blessed

The house of Obededom,

And all that pertaineth unto him,

Because of the ark

Of God. So David went

And brought up the ark

Of God from the house

Of Obededom into the

City of David with gladness.

13 And it was so, that when They that bare the ark

Of the LORD had gone six paces,

He sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

14 And David danced before the LORD

With all his might; and David was girded

With a linen ephod.

15 So David and all the house of Israel

Brought up the ark

Of the LORD with shouting,

And with the sound of the trumpet.

16 And as the ark of the LORD came

Into the city of David,

Michal Saul’s daughter

Looked through a window,

And saw king David

Leaping and dancing before the LORD;

And she despised him in her heart.

17 And they brought in

The ark of the LORD,

And set it in his place,

In the midst

Of the tabernacle

That David had pitched

For it: and David

Offered burnt offerings

And peace offerings before the LORD.

18 And as soon as David had made an end

Of offering burnt offerings

And peace offerings,

He blessed the people in the name

Of the LORD of hosts.

19 And he dealt among all the people,

Even among the whole

Multitude of Israel,

As well to the women as men,

To every one a cake of bread,

And a good piece of flesh,

And a flagon of wine.

So all the people departed

Every one to his house.

20 Then David returned

To bless his household.

And Michal the daughter

Of Saul came out

To meet David, and

Said, How glorious was

The king of Israel to day,

Who uncovered himself

To day in the eyes of the handmaids

Of his servants, as

One of the vain fellows

Shamelessly uncovereth himself!

21 And David said unto Michal,

It was before the LORD,

Which chose me before thy father,

And before all his house,

To appoint me ruler over the people

Of the LORD, over Israel:

Therefore will I play

Before the LORD.

22 And I will yet be

More vile than thus,

And will be base

In mine own sight:

And of the maidservants

Which thou hast spoken of,

Of them shall I be had in honour.

23 Therefore Michal the

Daughter of Saul

Had no child unto

The day of her death.

7:4 And it came to pass that night, That the word of the LORD

Came unto Nathan, saying,

5 Go and tell my servant David,

Thus saith the LORD,

Shalt thou build me an house

For me to dwell in?

6 Whereas I have not dwelt

In any house since the time

That I brought up the children

Of Israel out of Egypt,

Even to this day, but have walked

In a tent and in a tabernacle.

7 In all the places wherein

I have walked with all the children

Of Israel spake I a word

With any of the tribes of Israel,

Whom I commanded to feed my people

Israel, saying, Why build ye not

Me an house of cedar?

8 Now therefore so shalt thou

Say unto my servant David,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts,

I took thee from the sheepcote,

From following the sheep,

To be ruler over my people,

Over Israel:

9 And I was with thee whithersoever

Thou wentest, and have cut off

All thine enemies out of thy sight, And have made thee a great name,

Like unto the name of the great men

That are in the earth.

10 Moreover I will appoint a place

For my people Israel, and will plant them,

That they may dwell in a place

Of their own, and move no more;

Neither shall the children of wickedness

Afflict them any more, as beforetime,

11 And as since the time that

I commanded judges to be over

My people Israel, and have caused thee

To rest from all thine enemies.

Also the LORD telleth thee that he

Will make thee an house.

12 And when thy days be fulfilled,

And thou shalt sleep with thy fathers,

I will set up thy seed after thee,

Which shall proceed out of thy bowels,

And I will establish his kingdom.

13 He shall build an house for my name,

And I will stablish the throne

Of his kingdom for ever.

14 I will be his father,

And he shall be my son.

If he commit iniquity, I will chasten

Him with the rod of men,

And with the stripes of the children of men:

15 But my mercy shall not depart away

From him, as I took it from Saul,

Whom I put away before thee.

16 And thine house and thy kingdom

Shall be established for ever before thee:

Thy throne shall be established for ever.

17 According to all these words,

And according to all this vision,

So did Nathan speak unto David.

7:29 Therefore now let it please

Thee to bless the house of thy servant,

That it may continue for ever

Before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD,

Hast spoken it: and with thy blessing

Let the house of thy servant

Be blessed for ever.

2 Samuel 18:28

And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth

Upon his face before the king, and said,

Blessed be the LORD thy God, which hath

Delivered up the men that lifted up

Their hand against my lord the king.

19:39 And all the people went over Jordan.

And when the king was come over,

The king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; And he returned unto his own place.

22:1 And David spake unto the LORD the words Of this song in the day that the LORD

Had delivered him out of the hand

Of all his enemies, and out

Of the hand of Saul:

2 And he said, The LORD is my rock,

And my fortress, and my deliverer;

3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust:

He is my shield, and the horn

Of my salvation, my high tower,

And my refuge, my saviour;

Thou savest me from violence.

4 I will call on the LORD,

Who is worthy to be praised:

So shall I be saved from mine enemies.

5 When the waves of death compassed me,

The floods of ungodly men made me afraid;

6 The sorrows of hell compassed me about;

The snares of death prevented me;

7 In my distress I called upon the LORD,

And cried to my God: and he did hear

My voice out of his temple,

And my cry did enter into his ears.

8 Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of heaven moved and shook,

Because he was wroth.

9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, And fire out of his mouth devoured:

Coals were kindled by it.

10 He bowed the heavens also,

And came down; and darkness

Was under his feet.

11 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly:

And he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

12 And he made darkness pavilions

Round about him, dark waters,

And thick clouds of the skies.

13 Through the brightness before him

Were coals of fire kindled.

14 The LORD thundered from heaven,

And the most High uttered his voice.

15 And he sent out arrows,

And scattered them; lightning,

And discomfited them.

16 And the channels of the sea appeared,

The foundations of the world

Were discovered, at the rebuking

Of the LORD, at the blast

Of the breath of his nostrils.

17 He sent from above, he took me;

He drew me out of many waters;

18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from them that hated me:

For they were too strong for me.

19 They prevented me in the day

Of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

20 He brought me forth also into

A large place: he delivered me,

Because he delighted in me.

21 The LORD rewarded me according

To my righteousness: according

To the cleanness of my hands

Hath he recompensed me.

22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD,

And have not wickedly departed from my God.

23 For all his judgments were before me:

And as for his statutes,

I did not depart from them.

24 I was also upright before him,

And have kept myself from mine iniquity.

25 Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me

According to my righteousness;

According to my cleanness in his eye sight.

26 With the merciful thou wilt shew

Thyself merciful, and with the upright man

Thou wilt shew thyself upright.

27 With the pure thou wilt shew

Thyself pure; and with the froward

Thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.

28 And the afflicted people thou wilt save: But thine eyes are upon the haughty,

That thou mayest bring them down.

29 For thou art my lamp, O LORD:

And the LORD will lighten my darkness.

30 For by thee I have run through a troop:

By my God have I leaped over a wall.

31 As for God, his way is perfect;

The word of the LORD is tried:

He is a buckler to all

Them that trust in him.

32 For who is God, save the LORD?

And who is a rock, save our God?

33 God is my strength and power:

And he maketh my way perfect.

34 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet:

And setteth me upon my high places.

35 He teacheth my hands to war;

So that a bow of steel is broken

By mine arms.

36 Thou hast also given me the

Shield of thy salvation:

And thy gentleness hath made me great.

37 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me;

So that my feet did not slip.

38 I have pursued mine enemies,

And destroyed them; and turned not again

Until I had consumed them.

39 And I have consumed them, And wounded them, that they could not

Arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

40 For thou hast girded me with strength

To battle: them that rose up against me

Hast thou subdued under me.

41 Thou hast also given me the necks

Of mine enemies, that I might destroy

Them that hate me.

42 They looked, but there was none

To save; even unto the LORD,

But he answered them not.

43 Then did I beat them as small

As the dust of the earth,

I did stamp them as the mire of the street, And did spread them abroad.

44 Thou also hast delivered me from

The strivings of my people,

Thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: A people which I knew not shall serve me.

45 Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: As soon as they hear, they

Shall be obedient unto me.

46 Strangers shall fade away,

And they shall be afraid out

Of their close places.

47 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of

The rock of my salvation.

48 It is God that avengeth me, And that bringeth down the people under me, 49 And that bringeth me forth

From mine enemies: thou also hast lifted

Me up on high above them that rose up

Against me: thou hast delivered me

From the violent man.

50 Therefore I will give thanks

Unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen,

And I will sing praises unto thy name.

51 He is the tower of salvation for his king: And sheweth mercy to his anointed,

Unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

23:1 Now these be the last words of David.

David the son of Jesse said,

and the man who was raised up

on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob,

and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

2 The Spirit of the LORD spake by me,

and his word was in my tongue.

3 The God of Israel said, the Rock

of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth

over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning

without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an

everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation,

and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

6 But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot

be taken with hands:

7 But the man that shall touch them

must be fenced with iron and the staff

of a spear; and they shall be utterly

burned with fire in the same place.

15 So the LORD sent a pestilence

upon Israel from the morning even

to the time appointed: and there died

of the people from Dan even to Beersheba

seventy thousand men.

16 And when the angel stretched out

his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it,

the LORD repented him of the evil,

and said to the angel that destroyed

the people, It is enough:

stay now thine hand.

24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings

unto the LORD my God of that

which doth cost me nothing.

So, David bought the threshing floor

and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

25 And David built there an altar unto the LORD

and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.

So, the LORD was intreated for the land,

and the plague was stayed from Israel.

PART 24. BLESSED – 1&2 KINGS

1Kings

8:6 And the priests brought in the ark

Of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, Into the oracle of the house,

To the most holy place,

Even under the wings of the cherubims.

23 And he said, LORD God of Israel,

There is no God like thee, in heaven above, Or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant

And mercy with thy servants that walk

Before thee with all their heart:

24 Who hast kept with thy servant David

My father that thou promisedst him:

Thou spakest also with thy mouth,

And hast fulfilled it with

Thine hand, as it is this day.

37 If there be in the land famine,

If there be pestilence, blasting, mildew,

Locust, or if there be caterpiller;

If their enemy besiege them in the land

Of their cities; whatsoever plague,

Whatsoever sickness there be;

38 What prayer and supplication soever

Be made by any man, or by all

Thy people Israel, which shall know

Every man the plague of his own heart,

And spread forth his hands toward this house: 39 Then hear thou in heaven

Thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do,

And give to every man according to his ways, Whose heart thou knowest; (for thou,

Even thou only, knowest the hearts

Of all the children of men;)

54 And it was so, that when Solomon

Had made an end of praying all this prayer

And supplication unto the LORD,

He arose from before the altar of the LORD,

From kneeling on his knees With his hands spread up to heaven.

55 And he stood, and blessed all the

Congregation of Israel

With a loud voice, saying,

56 Blessed be the LORD,

That hath given rest unto his people Israel, According to all that he promised:

There hath not failed one word of all

His good promise, which he promised

By the hand of Moses his servant.

57 The LORD our God be with us,

As he was with our fathers:

Let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

58 That he may incline our hearts unto him, To walk in all his ways,

And to keep his commandments,

And his statutes, and his judgments,

Which he commanded our fathers.

59 And let these my words,

Wherewith I have made supplication

Before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD

Our God day and night, that he maintain

The cause of his servant, and the cause

Of his people Israel at all times,

As the matter shall require:

60 That all the people of the earth

May know that the LORD is God,

And that there is none else.

61 Let your heart therefore be perfect With the LORD our God,

To walk in his statutes,

And to keep his commandments,

As at this day.

9:4 And if thou wilt walk before me,

As David thy father walked,

In integrity of heart, and in uprightness,

To do according to all

That I have commanded thee,

And wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: 5 Then I will establish the throne

Of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever,

As I promised to David thy father,

Saying, There shall not fail thee a man

Upon the throne of Israel.

6 But if ye shall at all turn

From following me, ye or your children,

And will not keep my commandments

And my statutes which I have set before you, But go and serve other gods,

And worship them:

7 Then will I cut off Israel

Out of the land which I have given them;

And this house, which I have hallowed

For my name, will I cast out of my sight;

And Israel shall be a proverb

And a byword among all people:

8 And at this house, which is high, Every one that passeth by it

Shall be astonished, and shall hiss;

And they shall say, Why hath the LORD

Done thus unto this land, and to this house?

9 And they shall answer, Because they

Forsook the LORD their God,

Who brought forth their fathers

Out of the land of Egypt,

And have taken hold upon other gods,

And have worshipped them, and served

10:4 And when the queen of Sheba

Had seen all Solomon’s wisdom,

And the house that he had built,

5 And the meat of his table,

And the sitting of his servants,

And the attendance of his ministers,

And their apparel, and his cupbearers,

And his ascent by which he went up

Unto the house of the LORD;

There was no more spirit in her.

6 And she said to the king,

It was a true report that I heard

In mine own land of thy acts

And of thy wisdom.

7 Howbeit I believed not the words,

Until I came, and mine eyes had seen it:

And, behold, the half was not told me: Thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth

The fame which I heard.

8 Happy are thy men,

Happy are these thy servants,

Which stand continually before thee,

And that hear thy wisdom.

9 Blessed be the LORD thy God,

Which delighted in thee,

To set thee on the throne of Israel:

Because the LORD loved Israel for ever,

Therefore made he thee king,

To do judgment and justice.

1 Kings 2:3

And keep the charge of the LORD thy God,

To walk in his ways, to keep his statutes,

And his commandments, and his judgments,

And his testimonies, as it is written

In the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper In all that thou doest, and whithersoever

Thou turnest thyself:

1 Kings 8:9

There was nothing in the ark save

The two tables of stone, which Moses

Put there at Horeb, when the LORD made

A covenant with the children of Israel,

When they came out of the land of Egypt.

1 Kings 17:1

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was

Of the inhabitants of Gilead,

Said unto Ahab, As the LORD God

Of Israel liveth, before whom I stand,

There shall not be dew nor rain

These years, but according to my word

1 Kings 1:4

And the damsel was very fair,

And cherished the king,

And ministered to him:

But the king knew her not.

2 Kings 2:11

And it came to pass, as they still went on, And talked, that, behold, there appeared

A chariot of fire, and horses of fire,

And parted them both asunder; and Elijah

Went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

2 Kings 9:10

And the dogs shall eat Jezebel

In the portion of Jezreel,

And there shall be none to bury her.

And he opened the door, and fled.

2 Kings 1:4

Now therefore thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not come down from that bed

On which thou art gone up,

But shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.

2 Kings 17:18

Therefore the LORD was very angry

With Israel, and removed them out

Of his sight: there was none left

But the tribe of Judah only.

2 Kings 1:10

And Elijah answered and said to the

Captain of fifty, If I be a man of God,

Then let fire come down from heaven,

And consume thee and thy fifty.

And there came down fire from heaven,

And consumed him and his fifty.

2 Kings 1:8

And they answered him, He was an hairy man, And girt with a girdle of leather

About his loins. And he said,

It is Elijah the Tishbite.

4:1 Now there cried a certain woman

Of the wives of the sons of the prophets

Unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant

My husband is dead; and thou knowest

That thy servant did fear the LORD: And the creditor is come to take

Unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

2 And Elisha said unto her,

What shall I do for thee? Tell me,

What hast thou in the house?

And she said, Thine handmaid hath not

Any thing in the house,

Save a pot of oil.

3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels

Abroad of all thy neighbours,

Even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

4 And when thou art come in,

Thou shalt shut the door upon thee

And upon thy sons, and shalt pour out

Into all those vessels, and thou shalt set

Aside that which is full.

5 So she went from him, and shut the door

Upon her and upon her sons,

Who brought the vessels to her;

And she poured out.

6 And it came to pass,

When the vessels were full,

That she said unto her son,

Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more.

And the oil stayed.

7 Then she came and told the man of God.

And he said, Go, sell the oil,

And pay thy debt, and live thou And thy children of the rest.

8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed

To Shunem, where was a great woman;

And she constrained him to eat bread.

And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, He turned in thither to eat bread.

9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, Which passeth by us continually.

10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, On the wall; and let us set for him

There a bed, and a table, and a stool,

And a candlestick: and it shall be,

When he cometh to us,

That he shall turn in thither.

11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, And he turned into the chamber, and lay there.

12 And he said to Gehazi his servant,

Call this Shunammite. And when he had

Called her, she stood before him.

13 And he said unto him, Say now unto her,

Behold, thou hast been careful for us

With all this care; what is to be done

For thee? Wouldest thou be spoken for

To the king, or to the captain of the host?

And she answered, I dwell

Among mine own people.

14 And he said, What then is to be done For her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she

Hath no child, and her husband is old.

15 And he said, Call her. And when he

Had called her, she stood in the door.

16 And he said, About this season,

According to the time of life,

Thou shalt embrace a son. And she said,

Nay, my lord, thou man of God,

Do not lie unto thine handmaid.

17 And the woman conceived, and bare

A son at that season that Elisha had said

Unto her, according to the time of life.

18 And when the child was grown,

It fell on a day, that he went out

To his father to the reapers.

19 And he said unto his father, My head,

My head. And he said to a lad,

Carry him to his mother.

20 And when he had taken him,

And brought him to his mother,

He sat on her knees till noon,

And then died.

21 And she went up, and laid him

On the bed of the man of God,

And shut the door upon him, and went out.

22 And she called unto her husband,

And said, Send me, I pray thee,

One of the young men, and one of the asses,

That I may run to the man of God, And come again.

23 And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go

To him to day? It is neither new moon,

Nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.

24 Then she saddled an ass,

And said to her servant, Drive,

And go forward; slack not thy riding for me, Except I bid thee.

25 So she went and came unto the

Man of God to mount Carmel.

And it came to pass, when the man of God

Saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi

His servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite: 26 Run now, I pray thee, to meet her,

And say unto her, Is it well with thee?

Is it well with thy husband? Is it well

With the child? And she answered, It is well.

27 And when she came to the man of God

To the hill, she caught him by the feet:

But Gehazi came near to thrust her away.

And the man of God said, Let her alone;

For her soul is vexed within her:

And the LORD hath hid it from me,

And hath not told me.

28 Then she said, Did I desire a son

Of my lord? Did I not say,

Do not deceive me?

29 Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins,

And take my staff in thine hand, And go thy way: if thou meet any man,

Salute him not; and if any salute thee,

Answer him not again: and lay my staff

Upon the face of the child.

30 And the mother of the child said,

As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.

And he arose, and followed her.

31 And Gehazi passed on before them,

And laid the staff upon the face of the child; But there was neither voice, nor hearing.

Wherefore he went again to meet him,

And told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

32 And when Elisha was come into the house, Behold, the child was dead,

And laid upon his bed.

33 He went in therefore, and shut

The door upon them twain,

And prayed unto the LORD.

34 And he went up, and lay upon the child,

And put his mouth upon his mouth,

And his eyes upon his eyes,

And his hands upon his hands:

And he stretched himself upon the child;

And the flesh of the child waxed warm.

35 Then he returned, and walked in the house To and fro; and went up, and stretched himself Upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, And the child opened his eyes.

36 And he called Gehazi, and said,

Call this Shunammite. So he called her.

And when she was come in unto him,

He said, Take up thy son.

37 Then she went in, and fell at his feet,

And bowed herself to the ground,

And took up her son and went out.

PART 25. BLESSED – 1CHRONICLES

16:2 And when David had made an end

of offering the burnt offerings

and the peace offerings,

he blessed the people

in the name of the LORD.

3 And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one

a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

7 Then on that day David delivered first

this psalm to thank the LORD

into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

8 Give thanks unto the LORD,

call upon his name, make known

his deeds among the people.

9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him,

talk ye of all his wondrous works.

10 Glory ye in his holy name:

let the heart of them rejoice

that seek the LORD.

11 Seek the LORD and his strength,

seek his face continually.

12 Remember his marvellous works

that he hath done, his wonders,

and the judgments of his mouth;

13 O ye seed of Israel his servant,

ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

14 He is the LORD our God;

his judgments are in all the earth.

15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant;

the word which he commanded

to a thousand generations;

16 Even of the covenant which he made

with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel

for an everlasting covenant,

18 Saying, Unto thee will I give

the land of Canaan, the lot

of your inheritance;

19 When ye were but few, even a few,

and strangers in it.

20 And when they went from nation

to nation, and from one kingdom

to another people;

21 He suffered no man to do them wrong:

yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed,

and do my prophets no harm.

23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth;

shew forth from day to day his salvation.

24 Declare his glory among the heathen;

his marvellous works among all nations.

25 For great is the LORD,

and greatly to be praised:

he also is to be feared above all gods.

26 For all the gods of the people

are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

27 Glory and honour are in his presence;

strength and gladness are in his place.

28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds

of the people, give unto the LORD

glory and strength.

29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering,

and come before him: worship the LORD

in the beauty of holiness.

30 Fear before him, all the earth:

the world also shall be stable,

that it be not moved.

31 Let the heavens be glad,

and let the earth rejoice:

and let men say among the nations,

The LORD reigneth.

32 Let the sea roar,

and the fulness thereof:

let the fields rejoice,

and all that is therein.

33 Then shall the trees of the wood

sing out at the presence of the LORD,

because he cometh to judge the earth.

34 O give thanks unto the LORD;

for he is good;

for his mercy endureth for ever.

35 And say ye, Save us, O God

of our salvation, and gather us together,

and deliver us from the heathen,

that we may give thanks to thy holy name,

and glory in thy praise.

36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever.

And all the people said,

Amen, and praised the LORD.

17:2 Then Nathan said unto David,

Do all that is in thine heart;

for God is with thee.

6 Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel.

Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies.

Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD

will build thee an house.

11 And it shall come to pass,

when thy days be expired that

thou must go to be with thy fathers,

that I will raise up thy seed after thee,

which shall be of thy sons;

and I will establish his kingdom.

12 He shall build me an house,

and I will stablish his throne for ever.

13 I will be his father,

and he shall be my son:

and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: 14 But I will settle him in mine house

and in my kingdom for ever:

and his throne shall be established for evermore.

27 Now therefore let it please thee

to bless the house of thy servant,

that it may be before thee for ever:

for thou blessest, O LORD,

and it shall be blessed for ever.

29:10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD

before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God

of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

11 Thine, O LORD, is the greatness,

and the power, and the glory,

and the victory, and the majesty:

for all that is in the heaven

and in the earth is thine;

thine is the kingdom, O LORD,

and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 Both riches and honour come of thee,

and thou reignest over all;

and in thine hand is power and might;

and in thine hand it is to make great,

and to give strength unto all.

13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

14 But who am I, and what is my people,

that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

15 For we are strangers before thee,

and sojourners, as were all our fathers:

our days on the earth are as a shadow,

and there is none abiding.

16 O LORD our God, all this store

that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand,

and is all thine own.

17 I know also, my God, that thou

triest the heart, and hast pleasure

in uprightness. As for me,

in the uprightness of mine heart

I have willingly offered all these things:

and now have I seen with joy thy people,

which are present here,

to offer willingly unto thee.

18 O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever

in the imagination of the thoughts

of the heart of thy people,

and prepare their heart unto thee:

19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies,

and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace,

for the which I have made provision.

20 And David said to all the congregation,

Now bless the LORD your God.

And all the congregation blessed the LORD

God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.

21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD

1 Chronicles 4:10

And Jabez called on the God of Israel,

saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand

might be with me, and that thou wouldest

keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!

And God granted him that which he requested.

1 Chronicles 15:16

And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries

and harps and cymbals, sounding,

by lifting up the voice with joy.

1 Chronicles 1:10

And Cush begat Nimrod:

he began to be mighty upon the earth.

1 Chronicles 1:19

And unto Eber were born two sons:

the name of the one was Peleg;

because in his days the earth was divided:

and his brother's name was Joktan.

1 Chronicles 21:22

Then David said to Ornan,

Grant me the place of this threshingfloor,

that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price:

that the plague may be stayed from the people.

1 Chronicles 26:27

Out of the spoils won in battles

did they dedicate to maintain

the house of the LORD.

1 Chronicles 12:14

These were of the sons of Gad,

captains of the host:

one of the least was over an hundred,

and the greatest over a thousand.

PART 26. BLESSED – 2 CHRONICLES

2:1 Then Huram the king of Tyre

answered in writing, which he sent

to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved

his people, he hath made thee king over them.

12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD

God of Israel, that made heaven and earth,

who hath given to David the king

a wise son, endued with prudence

and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.

13 And now I have sent a cunning man,

endued with understanding, of Huram my father's,

14 The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre,

skilful to work in gold, and in silver,

in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen,

and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with

the cunning men of my lord David thy father.

15 Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:

16 And we will cut wood out of Lebanon,

as much as thou shalt need:

and we will bring it to thee in floats

by sea to Joppa; and thou

shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.

17 And Solomon numbered all the strangers

that were in the land of Israel,

after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and

three thousand and six hundred.

18 And he set threescore and ten thousand

of them to be bearers of burdens,

and fourscore thousand to be hewers in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work.

ALL OF SOLOMON'S PRAYER, 2CHRON:6

3 And the king turned his face,

and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.

8 But the LORD said to David my father,

Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well

in that it was in thine heart:

9 Notwithstanding thou shalt not build

the house; but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, (JESUS) he shall build

the house for my name.

9:5 And she said to the king,

It was a true report which I heard

in mine own land of thine acts,

and of thy wisdom:

6 Howbeit I believed not their words,

until I came, and mine eyes had seen it:

and, behold, the one half of the greatness

of thy wisdom was not told me:

for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.

7 Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand

continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.

8 Blessed be the LORD thy God,

which delighted in thee

to set thee on his throne,

to be king for the LORD thy God:

because thy God loved Israel,

to establish them for ever,

therefore made he thee king over them,

to do judgment and justice.

20:3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast

throughout all Judah.

4 And Judah gathered themselves together,

to ask help of the LORD:

even out of all the cities of Judah

they came to seek the LORD.

9 If, when evil cometh upon us,

as the sword, judgment, or pestilence,

or famine, we stand before this house,

and in thy presence,

(for thy name is in this house,)

and cry unto thee in our affliction,

then thou wilt hear and help.

13 And all Judah stood before the LORD,

with their little ones, their wives,

and their children.

14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel,

the son of Mattaniah, a Levite

of the sons of Asaph,

came the Spirit of the LORD

in the midst of the congregation;

15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah,

and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem,

and thou king Jehoshaphat,

Thus saith the LORD unto you,

Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason

of this great multitude;

for the battle is not yours, but God's.

20 And they rose early in the morning,

and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood

and said, Hear me, O Judah,

and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem;

Believe in the LORD your God,

so shall ye be established;

believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD,

and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army,

and to say, Praise the LORD;

for his mercy endureth for ever.

24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked

unto the multitude, and, behold,

they were dead bodies fallen to the earth,

and none escaped.

25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people

came to take away the spoil of them,

they found among them in abundance

both riches with the dead bodies,

and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering

of the spoil, it was so much.

26 And on the fourth day they assembled

themselves in the valley of Berachah;

for there they blessed the LORD:

therefore the name of the same place

was called, The valley of Berachah,

29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries,

when they had heard that the LORD fought

against the enemies of Israel.

30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet:

for his God gave him rest round about.

35 And after this did Jehoshaphat

king of Judah join himself with

Ahaziah king of Israel,

who did very wickedly:

36 And he joined himself with him

to make ships to go to Tarshish:

and they made the ships in Eziongeber.

37 Then Eliezer the son of

Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against

Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD

hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

30: And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim

and Manasseh, that they should come

to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem,

to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.

10 So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them

to scorn, and mocked them.

11 Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves,

and came to Jerusalem.

12 Also in Judah the hand of God

was to give them one heart to do

the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.

But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying,

The good LORD pardon every one

19 That prepareth his heart to seek God,

the LORD God of his fathers,

though he be not cleansed according

to the purification of the sanctuary.

20 And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah,

and healed the people.

27 Then the priests the Levites

arose and blessed the people:

and their voice was heard,

and their prayer came up to his

holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.

31:10 And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him,

and said, Since the people began to bring

the offerings into the house of the LORD,

we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people;

and that which is left is this great store.

PART 27. BLESSED – PSALMS

Psalms

5:1 {To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth,

A Psalm of David.} Give ear to my words,

O LORD, consider my meditation.

2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry,

my King, and my God:

for unto thee will I pray.

3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning,

O LORD; in the morning will I direct

my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

4 For thou art not a God that

hath pleasure in wickedness:

neither shall evil dwell with thee.

5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy:

and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness

because of mine enemies;

make thy way straight before my face.

9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness;

their throat is an open sepulchre;

they flatter with their tongue.

10 Destroy thou them, O God;

let them fall by their own counsels;

cast them out in the multitude of their

transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

11 But let all those that put their trust

in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them:

let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

16:1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee

do I put my trust.

2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD,

Thou art my Lord: my goodness

extendeth not to thee;

3 But to the saints that are in the earth,

and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied

that hasten after another god:

their drink offerings of blood

will I not offer, nor take up

their names into my lips.

5 The LORD is the portion of mine

inheritance and of my cup:

thou maintainest my lot.

6 The lines are fallen unto me

in pleasant places; yea,

I have a goodly heritage.

7 I will bless the LORD,

who hath given me counsel:

my reins also instruct me

in the night seasons.

8 I have set the LORD always before me:

because he is at my right hand,

I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad,

and my glory rejoiceth:

my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine

Holy One to see corruption.

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life:

in thy presence is fulness of joy;

at thy right hand there are

pleasures for evermore.

26:1 {A Psalm of David.} Judge me, O LORD;

for I have walked in mine integrity:

I have trusted also in the LORD;

therefore I shall not slide.

2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me;

try my reins and my heart.

3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

4 I have not sat with vain persons,

neither will I go in with dissemblers.

5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

6 I will wash mine hands in innocency:

so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

7 That I may publish with the voice

of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

8 LORD, I have loved the habitation

of thy house, and the place

where thine honour dwelleth.

9 Gather not my soul with sinners,

nor my life with bloody men:

10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

12 My foot standeth in an even place:

in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

28:1 {A Psalm of David.} Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me:

lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

2 Hear the voice of my supplications,

when I cry unto thee, when I lift up

my hands toward thy holy oracle.

3 Draw me not away with the wicked,

and with the workers of iniquity,

which speak peace to their neighbours,

but mischief is in their hearts.

4 Give them according to their deeds,

and according to the wickedness

of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

5 Because they regard not the works

of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

6 Blessed be the LORD,

because he hath heard the

voice of my supplications.

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:

therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;

and with my song will I praise him.

8 The LORD is their strength,

and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

29:1 {A Psalm of David.} Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD

glory and strength.

2 Give unto the LORD the glory

due unto his name;

worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth:

the LORD is upon many waters.

4 The voice of the LORD is powerful;

the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf;

Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

7 The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire.

8 The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea,

the LORD sitteth King for ever.

11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times:

his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 O magnify the LORD with me,

and let us exalt his name together.

4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me,

and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round

about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8 O taste and see that the LORD is good:

blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints:

for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD

shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12 What man is he that desireth life,

and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil,

and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good;

seek peace, and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The LORD is nigh unto them

that are of a broken heart;

and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones:

not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked:

and they that hate the righteous

shall be desolate.

22 The LORD redeemeth the soul

of his servants:

and none of them that trust

in him shall be desolate.

62:1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

2 He only is my rock and my salvation;

he is my defence;

I shall not be greatly moved.

3 How long will ye imagine mischief

against a man?

ye shall be slain all of you:

as a bowing wall shall ye be,

and as a tottering fence.

4 They only consult to cast him down

from his excellency:

they delight in lies:

they bless with their mouth,

but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God;

for my expectation is from him.

6 He only is my rock and my salvation:

he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

7 In God is my salvation and my glory:

the rock of my strength,

and my refuge, is in God.

8 Trust in him at all times; ye people,

pour out your heart before him:

God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9 Surely men of low degree are vanity,

and men of high degree are a lie:

to be laid in the balance,

they are altogether lighter than vanity.

10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery:

if riches increase,

set not your heart upon them.

11 God hath spoken once;

twice have I heard this;

that power belongeth unto God.

12 Also unto thee, O Lord,

belongeth mercy: for thou renderest

to every man according to his work.

63:1. {A Psalm of David,

when he was in the wilderness of Judah.}

O God, thou art my God;

early will I seek thee:

my soul thirsteth for thee,

my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and

thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory,

so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness

is better than life,

my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live:

I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied

as with marrow and fatness;

and my mouth shall praise thee

with joyful lips:

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my help,

therefore in the shadow

of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul followeth hard after thee:

thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword:

they shall be a portion for foxes.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God;

every one that sweareth by him

shall glory: but the mouth of them

that speak lies shall be stopped.

66:1 {To the chief Musician,

A Song or Psalm.}Make a joyful noise

unto God, all ye lands:

2 Sing forth the honour of his name:

make his praise glorious.

3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou

in thy works! through the greatness

of thy power shall thine enemies

submit themselves unto thee.

4 All the earth shall worship thee,

and shall sing unto thee;

they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

5 Come and see the works of God:

he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

6 He turned the sea into dry land:

they went through the flood on foot:

there did we rejoice in him.

7 He ruleth by his power for ever;

his eyes behold the nations:

let not the rebellious

exalt themselves. Selah.

8 O bless our God, ye people,

and make the voice of his praise to be heard: 9 Which holdeth our soul in life,

and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10 For thou, O God, hast proved us:

thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11 Thou broughtest us into the net;

thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12 Thou hast caused men to ride over

our heads; we went through fire and

through water: but thou broughtest us

out into a wealthy place.

13 I will go into thy house

with burnt offerings:

I will pay thee my vows,

14 Which my lips have uttered,

and my mouth hath spoken,

when I was in trouble.

15 I will offer unto thee

burnt sacrifices of fatlings,

with the incense of rams;

I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God,

and I will declare what

he hath done for my soul.

17 I cried unto him with my mouth,

and he was extolled with my tongue.

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart,

the Lord will not hear me:

19 But verily God hath heard me;

he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, which

hath not turned away my prayer,

nor his mercy from me.

67:1 {To the chief Musician on Neginoth,

A Psalm or Song.} God be merciful unto us,

and bless us; and cause

his face to shine upon us; Selah.

2 That thy way may be known upon earth,

thy saving health among all nations.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God;

let all the people praise thee.

4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God;

let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase;

and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us; and all the ends

of the earth shall fear him.

68:1 Let God arise, let his enemies

be scattered: let them also

that hate him flee before him.

2 As smoke is driven away,

so drive them away:

as wax melteth before the fire,

so let the wicked perish

at the presence of God.

3 But let the righteous be glad;

let them rejoice before God:

yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:

extol him that rideth upon the heavens

by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

5 A father of the fatherless,

and a judge of the widows,

is God in his holy habitation.

6 God setteth the solitary in families:

he bringeth out those which are bound

with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

7 O God, when thou wentest forth

before thy people, when thou didst march

through the wilderness; Selah:

8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself

was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein:

thou, O God, hast prepared

of thy goodness for the poor.

11 The Lord gave the word: great was

the company of those that published it.

12 Kings of armies did flee apace:

and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.

13 Though ye have lien among the pots,

yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove

covered with silver, and her

feathers with yellow gold.

14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.

15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.

16 Why leap ye, ye high hills?

this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.

17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels:

the Lord is among them,

as in Sinai, in the holy place.

18 Thou hast ascended on high,

thou hast led captivity captive:

thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God

might dwell among them.

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily

loadeth us with benefits,

even the God of our salvation. Selah.

20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord

belong the issues from death.

21 But God shall wound the head

of his enemies, and the hairy scalp

of such an one as goeth on

still in his trespasses.

22 The Lord said, I will bring again

from Bashan, I will bring my people

again from the depths of the sea:

23 That thy foot may be dipped

in the blood of thine enemies,

and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.

24 They have seen thy goings, O God;

even the goings of my God,

my King, in the sanctuary.

25 The singers went before,

the players on instruments followed after;

among them were the damsels

playing with timbrels.

26 Bless ye God in the congregations,

even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler,

the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun,

and the princes of Naphtali.

28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength:

strengthen, O God, that which

thou hast wrought for us.

29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem

shall kings bring presents unto thee.

30 Rebuke the company of spearmen,

the multitude of the bulls, with the

calves of the people, till every one

submit himself with pieces of silver:

scatter thou the people that delight in war.

31 Princes shall come out of Egypt;

Ethiopia shall soon stretch

out her hands unto God.

32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

33 To him that rideth upon the heavens

of heavens,which were of old; lo,

he doth send out his voice,

and that a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe ye strength unto God:

his excellency is over Israel,

and his strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, thou art terrible

out of thy holy places:

the God of Israel is he

that giveth strength

and power unto his people.

Blessed be God.

96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song:

sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name;

shew forth his salvation from day to day.

3 Declare his glory among the heathen,

his wonders among all people.

4 For the LORD is great,

and greatly to be praised:

he is to be feared above all gods.

5 For all the gods of the nations

are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

6 Honour and majesty are before him:

strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds

of the people, give unto the

LORD glory and strength.

8 Give unto the LORD the glory due

unto his name: bring an offering,

and come into his courts.

9 O worship the LORD

in the beauty of holiness:

fear before him, all the earth.

10 Say among the heathen

that the LORD reigneth:

the world also shall be established

that it shall not be moved:

he shall judge the people righteously.

11 Let the heavens rejoice,

and let the earth be glad;

let the sea roar,

and the fulness thereof.

12 Let the field be joyful,

and all that is therein:

then shall all the trees

of the wood rejoice

13 Before the LORD: for he cometh,

for he cometh to judge the earth:

he shall judge the world

with righteousness,

and the people with his truth.

100:1 {A Psalm of praise.}

Make a joyful noise

unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2 Serve the LORD with gladness:

come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the LORD he is God:

it is he that hath made us,

and not we ourselves; we are his people,

and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,

and into his courts with praise:

be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5 For the LORD is good;

his mercy is everlasting;

and his truth endureth to all generations.

103:1 {A Psalm of David.} Bless the LORD,

O my soul: and all that is within me,

bless his holy name.

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities;

who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;

who crowneth thee with lovingkindness

and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth

with good things; so that thy youth

is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The LORD executeth righteousness

and judgment for all that are oppressed.

7 He made known his ways unto Moses,

his acts unto the children of Israel.

8 The LORD is merciful and gracious,

slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9 He will not always chide:

neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high

above the earth, so great is his mercy

toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west,

so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children,

so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame;

he remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass:

as a flower of the field,

so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it,

and it is gone; and the place thereof

shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the LORD

is from everlasting to everlasting

upon them that fear him, and his

righteousness unto children's children;

18 To such as keep his covenant,

and to those that remember his

commandments to do them.

19 The LORD hath prepared his throne

in the heavens; and his kingdom

ruleth over all.

20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels,

that excel in strength,

that do his commandments,

hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the LORD,

all ye his hosts;

ye ministers of his,

that do his pleasure.

22 Bless the LORD, all his works

in all places of his dominion:

bless the LORD, O my soul.

Psalm 104

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul.

O LORD my God, thou art very great;

thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

2 Who coverest thyself with light

as with a garment: who stretchest out

the heavens like a curtain:

3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers

in the waters: who maketh the clouds

his chariot: who walketh upon the wings

of the wind:

4 Who maketh his angels spirits;

his ministers a flaming fire:

5 Who laid the foundations of the earth,

that it should not be removed for ever.

6 Thou coveredst it with the deep

as with a garment: the waters

stood above the mountains.

7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice

of thy thunder they hasted away.

8 They go up by the mountains;

they go down by the valleys unto the place

which thou hast founded for them.

9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not

again to cover the earth.

10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.

11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.

12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven

have their habitation, which sing

among the branches.

13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with

the fruit of thy works.

14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man:

that he may bring forth food out of the earth; 15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine,

and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap;

the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted; 17 Where the birds make their nests:

as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

18 The high hills are a refuge

for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons:

the sun knoweth his going down.

20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night:

wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

22 The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23 Man goeth forth unto his work and

to his labour until the evening.

24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works!

in wisdom hast thou made them all:

the earth is full of thy riches.

25 So is this great and wide sea,

wherein are things creeping innumerable,

both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships:

there is that leviathan,

whom thou hast made to play therein.

27 These wait all upon thee;

that thou mayest give them

their meat in due season.

28 That thou givest them they gather:

thou openest thine hand,

they are filled with good.

29 Thou hidest thy face,

they are troubled:

thou takest away their breath, they die,

and return to their dust.

30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit,

they are created:

and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 The glory of the LORD

shall endure for ever:

the LORD shall rejoice in his works.

32 He looketh on the earth,

and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills,

and they smoke.

33 I will sing unto the LORD

as long as I live: I will sing praise

to my God while I have my being.

34 My meditation of him shall be sweet:

I will be glad in the LORD.

35 Let the sinners be consumed

out of the earth, and let the wicked

be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul.

Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 105

1 O give thanks unto the LORD;

call upon his name: make known

his deeds among the people.

2 Sing unto him, sing psalms

unto him: talk ye of all

his wondrous works.

3 Glory ye in his holy name:

let the heart of them rejoice

that seek the LORD.

4 Seek the LORD, and his strength:

seek his face evermore.

5 Remember his marvellous works

that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant,

ye children of Jacob his chosen.

7 He is the LORD our God:

his judgments are in all the earth.

8 He hath remembered his covenant

for ever, the word which he commanded

to a thousand generations.

9 Which covenant he made with Abraham,

and his oath unto Isaac;

10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob

for a law, and to Israel

for an everlasting covenant:

11 Saying, Unto thee will I give

the land of Canaan,

the lot of your inheritance:

12 When they were but a few men

in number; yea, very few,

and strangers in it.

13 When they went from one nation

to another, from one kingdom

to another people;

14 He suffered no man to do them wrong:

yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed,

and do my prophets no harm.

16 Moreover he called for a famine

upon the land: he brake

the whole staff of bread.

17 He sent a man before them,

even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters:

he was laid in iron:

19 Until the time that his word came:

the word of the LORD tried him.

20 The king sent and loosed him;

even the ruler of the people,

and let him go free.

21 He made him lord of his house,

and ruler of all his substance:

22 To bind his princes at his pleasure;

and teach his senators wisdom.

23 Israel also came into Egypt;

and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24 And he increased his people greatly;

and made them stronger than their enemies.

25 He turned their heart

to hate his people,

to deal subtilly with his servants.

26 He sent Moses his servant;

and Aaron whom he had chosen.

27 They shewed his signs among them,

and wonders in the land of Ham.

28 He sent darkness, and made it dark;

and they rebelled not against his word.

29 He turned their waters into blood,

and slew their fish.

30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

32 He gave them hail for rain,

and flaming fire in their land.

33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

34 He spake, and the locusts came,

and caterpillers, and that without number,

35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36 He smote also all the firstborn

in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37 He brought them forth

also with silver and gold: and there

was not one feeble person among their tribes.

38 Egypt was glad when they departed:

for the fear of them fell upon them.

39 He spread a cloud for a covering;

and fire to give light in the night.

40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41 He opened the rock,

and the waters gushed out;

they ran in the dry places like a river.

42 For he remembered his holy promise,

and Abraham his servant.

43 And he brought forth his people with joy,

and his chosen with gladness: 44 And gave them the lands of the heathen:

and they inherited the labour of the people; 45 That they might observe his statutes,

and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

109:1 Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise; 2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me:

they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

4 For my love they are my adversaries:

but I give myself unto prayer.

5 And they have rewarded me evil for good,

and hatred for my love.

6 Set thou a wicked man over him:

and let Satan stand at his right hand.

7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread

also out of their desolate places.

11 Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

13 Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following

let their name be blotted out.

14 Let the iniquity of his fathers

be remembered with the LORD;

and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man,

that he might even slay the broken in heart.

17 As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing,

so let it be far from him.

18 As he clothed himself with cursing

like as with his garment,

so let it come into his bowels like water,

and like oil into his bones.

19 Let it be unto him as the garment

which covereth him, and for a girdle

wherewith he is girded continually.

20 Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them

that speak evil against my soul.

21 But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord,

for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

22 For I am poor and needy,

and my heart is wounded within me.

23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

24 My knees are weak through fasting;

and my flesh faileth of fatness.

25 I became also a reproach unto them:

when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

26 Help me, O LORD my God:

O save me according to thy mercy:

27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

28 Let them curse, but bless thou:

when they arise, let them be ashamed;

but let thy servant rejoice.

29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves

with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

30 I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

115:1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us,

but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

2 Wherefore should the heathen say,

Where is now their God?

3 But our God is in the heavens:

he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

4 Their idols are silver and gold,

the work of men's hands.

5 They have mouths, but they speak not:

eyes have they, but they see not:

6 They have ears, but they hear not:

noses have they, but they smell not:

7 They have hands, but they handle not:

feet have they, but they walk not:

neither speak they through their throat.

8 They that make them are like unto them;

so is every one that trusteth in them.

9 O Israel, trust thou in the LORD:

he is their help and their shield.

10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD:

he is their help and their shield.

11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

12 The LORD hath been mindful of us:

he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

13 He will bless them that fear the LORD,

both small and great.

14 The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

15 Ye are blessed of the LORD

which made heaven and earth.

16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

17 The dead praise not the LORD,

neither any that go down into silence.

18 But we will bless the LORD

from this time forth and for evermore.

Praise the LORD.

128:1 {A Song of degrees.}

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine

by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

4 Behold, that thus shall the man

be blessed that feareth the LORD.

5 The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion:

and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem

all the days of thy life.

6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

129:1 {A Song of degrees.}

Many a time have they afflicted me

from my youth, may Israel now say:

2 Many a time have they afflicted me

from my youth: yet they have not

prevailed against me.

3 The plowers plowed upon my back:

they made long their furrows.

4 The LORD is righteous: he hath cut

asunder the cords of the wicked.

5 Let them all be confounded

and turned back that hate Zion.

6 Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8 Neither do they which go by say,

The blessing of the LORD be upon you:

we bless you in the name of the LORD.

132:1 A Song of degrees.

LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions: 2 How he sware unto the LORD,

and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes,

or slumber to mine eyelids,

5 Until I find out a place for the LORD,

an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah:

we found it in the fields of the wood.

7 We will go into his tabernacles:

we will worship at his footstool.

8 Arise, O LORD, into thy rest;

thou, and the ark of thy strength.

9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

12 If thy children will keep my covenant

and my testimony that I shall teach them,

their children shall also sit

upon thy throne for evermore.

13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion;

he hath desired it for his habitation.

14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision:

I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

18 His enemies will I clothe with shame:

but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

134:1{A Song of degrees.} Behold,

bless ye the LORD,

all ye servants of the LORD,

which by night stand

in the house of the LORD.

2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary,

and bless the LORD.

3 The LORD that made heaven

and earth bless thee out of Zion.

135:1 Praise ye the LORD.

Praise ye the name of the LORD;

praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD,

in the courts of the house of our God,

3 Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good:

sing praises unto his name;

for it is pleasant.

4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob

unto himself, and Israel

for his peculiar treasure.

5 For I know that the LORD is great,

and that our Lord is above all gods.

6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased,

that did he in heaven, and in earth,

in the seas, and all deep places.

7 He causeth the vapours to ascend

from the ends of the earth;

he maketh lightnings for the rain;

he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt,

both of man and beast.

9 Who sent tokens and wonders

into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

10 Who smote great nations,

and slew mighty kings;

11 Sihon king of the Amorites,

and Og king of Bashan,

and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

12 And gave their land for an heritage,

an heritage unto Israel his people.

13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever;

and thy memorial, O LORD,

throughout all generations.

14 For the LORD will judge his people,

and he will repent himself

concerning his servants.

15 The idols of the heathen are silver

and gold, the work of men's hands.

16 They have mouths, but they speak not;

eyes have they, but they see not;

17 They have ears, but they hear not;

neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18 They that make them are like unto them:

so is every one that trusteth in them.

19 Bless the LORD, O house of Israel:

bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

20 Bless the LORD, O house of Levi:

ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem.

Praise ye the LORD.
