CHAPTER 11
KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL = THE LAW AND THE CURSE
There have only been two covenants since the beginning of time. One covenant is the covenant of the law, the law says, “Everything depends on my actions. I can be righteous apart from God, I can be wise apart from God, I can be prosperous apart from God, I can have life apart from God. I can earn my own salvation, and my own wealth, and my own wisdom, and my own health. I can keep the law by my own strength. I am self-sufficient! That is what the serpent promised Eve in the garden if she would eat the forbidden fruit. The serpent promised Eve that she and Adam would be as gods by disobeying God! The serpent told Eve that God was a liar.
Everyone who believes that God is a liar will have their part in the lake of fire!
The more that a person increases in the knowledge of Good and Evil, the more they will experience the curse. That is why so many Christians suffer from sickness, poverty, and ignorance, because they are trying to keep the law. If you are under the law, you can be prosecuted. It does not matter whether you are ignorant of the law or are knowledgeable of the law. It does not matter if you believed the law is irrational or unjust. If you are under the law, you can be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Satan is called the accuser of our brethren. Satan is a prosecutor.
AND THE GREAT DRAGON WAS CAST OUT, THAT OLD SERPENT, CALLED THE DEVIL, AND SATAN, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: HE WAS CAST OUT INTO THE EARTH, AND HIS ANGELS WERE CAST OUT WITH HIM.
AND I HEARD A LOUD VOICE SAYING IN HEAVEN, NOW IS COME SALVATION, AND STRENGTH, AND THE KINGDOM OF OUR GOD, AND THE POWER OF HIS CHRIST: FOR THE ACCUSER OF OUR BRETHREN IS CAST DOWN, WHICH ACCUSED THEM BEFORE OUR GOD DAY AND NIGHT.
REVELATION 12:9-10
Satan’s job is to accuse, prosecute, and persecute mankind. If you are under the law, you open the door to his accusations, his prosecution, and his persecution. You cannot be under the law and remain safe. Most of the world is under the law: On the streets people say, what comes around goes around. The Hindu and Buddhist warn of Bad Karma when you do evil acts. The Old Testament says, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. There are only two types of people in the world: 1) those under grace (mature Christians) and 2) those under the law (everybody else). If you are trying to keep the law, whether you are a Hindu, a Moslem, a Jew, a Catholic, or a Protestant, you are not under grace! You are under the law and you are under grace!
