MERELY MAN
To begin
My name is merely man.
An idea born in Divine Fire,
A particle sent traveling slowly,
Traveling wetly in a rush of water and blood.
I travel with pain into life’s humble light,
And hurry swiftly into death’s sacred night,
So quickly joined to motion and sound.
I am:
A name,
One who loves and is loved,
One who will be remembered.
Who accepts his moment.
Knows the beauty in living,
Tastes his death.
Returns to Being’s greater beginning
And again begins.
