TO A BROKEN HEART
This tale is told in my blood.
This tale,
A tale of indelible pain.
Nature’s thirst still rules the shattered heart,
Its raging blood still mocking the days of life.
Lost love is a tomb that inters all joy
Each day following upon the other
Days upon days with no escape.
All warmth is lost upon this unending time
Marking off its relentless march,
Pulling me in its unending flow,
But unlike a humble cow
It gave me a broken heart to know.
