“The Page of the Waters”

Cancer – Scorpio - Pisces

Earth of Water

DESCRIPTION AND SYMBOLISM

A well-dressed young woman stands alone at the seashore contemplating a fish that emerges from a golden cup that she holds in her right hand. She is dressed in a blue tunic decorated with a floral print and wears a blue beret on her head. A long, flowing scarf is attached to the left side of the headpiece that drapes across the front of her tunic and rests on her right shoulder.  Behind her an ocean churns, its waves cresting and falling. She appears intrigued by the sudden appearance of the fish emerging from her cup that looks her straight in the eye and appears to be talking to her.

ASTROLOGICAL ASSOCIATION

Combining within herself the three fold energies of the water signs of the Zodiac, the Page of Cups draws upon the nurturing energy of Cancer; the intense and passionate quality of Scorpio and the poetic and mystical awareness of Pisces giving her an insight into the deeper aspects of psychic life and the ability to recognize and value the inspirations that emerge from the fertile waters of her imagination. Fish symbolize the creative images that swim in the inner depths of the psychic waters of life. When they surface they bring to us the potential realization of the ideas born of our imagination if we are willing to bring them out of the realm of contemplation and invest the effort to realize them in our lives. To paraphrase Dr. Carl Gustav Jung: “We must dream the dream outward in order to truly have lived. Otherwise we remain only hollow shadows, never having realized our authentic selves.”

EARTH OF WATER

As Earth of Water, the Page of Cups brings forth her dream into earthly life so it may play its part in her growth and development as an individual as well as aid in the further evolutionary progress of the society in which she lives.

ORACLES

When the Page of Cups appears she may indicate yourself, another person close to you, someone who may enter your life, an aspect of your own personality or an aspect of yourself that needs to be recognized, developed or asserted. She may also represent a situation that you may find yourself in.

When Appearing Upright in a Reading

The Page of Cups represents a passionate individual who is focused  on  the  images  in  her  imagination.  She  is  a  quiet  and reflective individual who is both gentile and kind and of a dreamy character but who can be courageous when needed. She seeks inspirations from within the deep flowing waters of her inner self and the exploration of its revelations is her first priority. The Page may represent someone with whom you may form a romantic relationship or she may be the bearer of good news.

When Appearing Reversed in a Reading

Reversed, the Page represents a cowardly, selfish, superficial and idle person who loves luxury and is given to artifice and deceit. She has no imagination and no real desire to achieve anything but instead spends her time planning and carrying out sexual seductions. Unpleasant news may follow upon her appearance or a deception in love may be revealed.

THE TREE OF LIFE

“The Kingdom”

From the depths of the imagination arose the rich diversity of art, religion, philosophy and science that characterizes the truly human. It was those men and women who during their sojourn in the Kingdom have had the courage to bring their ideas out of the dream and into the real world who were and are the true voices of the Inner Light.
