Introduction

In my early years, I never considered life beyond this realm. As a child or even as a teenager, I had never wondered about it. Nevertheless, things changed for me in 2009 when I made a discovery that changed my life forever. My family and I went out to eat at a local pub.

EVP was something I had heard about on ghost hunting programs, but I wasn't a believer. That night, however, everything changed. In the middle of speaking with family, I decided to record with my phone out of curiosity. It wasn't clear to me whether I would get anything.

In any case, I recorded a 5-minute recording. The pub was quite busy that night with many people talking. I thought all I would get was people in the pub talking on my phone. As we left the pub to head home, I was curious to hear if I could pick up anything.

When I got home, I turned on the computer and listened to the audio I had recorded. In order to analyze the recording, I used some software. The mention of my voice shocked me after listening for a few minutes.

3

The first EVP I received was from a female voice telling me I had found the truth. The lady said to me: "You found the truth Steve, putting it right Steve". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This experience truly blew me away.

As a result of the recording, I actually got more EVPs.

As a result, I began exploring the spirit realm. There was no doubt in my mind that I had made a breakthrough in my life. Initially, I got addicted to recording at home, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and my back yard. All of which resulted in great EVP recordings.

When I first started, I wasn't the best at it because I needed more experience. However, I was getting results.

Today, I have much more experience and I get a lot of class A EVPs. In addition, my techniques have changed a little over the years. I will outline the best EVP recording techniques I use on a regular basis in this ebook.

This kind of work requires a great deal of patience. You must also accept that it won't always be clear. The volume levels of the voices you capture may not always 4

be as clear as others. Despite not always being 100%

clear, I have learned to be patient and persevere. In spite of this, I am able to understand even those with a lower volume.

The more you do EVP, the better your ears become at hearing. With more experience, you will find it easier to hear the messages from the spirit realm. My hope is that you will enjoy reading this ebook and that you will gain useful information from it. The field of research can be very eye-opening and interesting.

History of EVP

Thomas Edison and EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) Thomas Edison, the prominent inventor and entrepreneur, is often credited with numerous inventions and contributions to the field of science and technology. While best known for his inventions such as the incandescent light bulb and phonograph, Edison's interest in paranormal phenomena also piqued his curiosity. One of his lesser-known pursuits was exploring the concept of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP).

Thomas Edison's Interest in EVP

Edison was intrigued by the concept of communicating with spirits or deceased individuals through electronic means. The concept of EVP originated in the 19th century when investigators attempted to capture and decipher mysterious voices or sounds that could not be explained through conventional means. Edison believed that advancements in technology could potentially unlock the secrets of the spirit world.

6

Edison's EVP Experiments In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Edison conducted a series of experiments to explore EVP. His experiments involved the use of various recording devices and techniques to capture the audio signals from the spirit world. These experiments included using audio recording devices such as the phonograph and magnetic tape to record the voices or sounds believed to be paranormal.

Edison employed various techniques to enhance the chances of capturing EVP. These included conducting seances, where individuals attempted to communicate directly with spirits, as well as placing recording devices in haunted locations. Edison believed that these paranormal phenomena could be captured and deciphered through the advancements in technology he was working on.

Criticism and Controversy

While Edison's experiments in EVP were innovative, they also faced criticism and controversy. Skeptics believed that EVP was nothing more than a product of auditory 7

hallucinations or hoaxes. They argued that there was no evidence to support the claim that these sounds were truly paranormal.

Edison himself acknowledged the limitations of his experiments. In a letter to a friend, he wrote, "We are not certain of the results, but are working diligently." Edison's open-mindedness allowed him to explore alternative possibilities, but he maintained a critical stance, recognizing that scientific proof was crucial to validate EVP.

Legacy of Thomas Edison and EVP

Thomas Edison's interest in EVP was a departure from the conventional realm of his inventions. While his efforts did not yield conclusive results, his experiments contributed to the growing interest in paranormal phenomena and sparked further scientific inquiries into EVP.

Today, EVP continues to be a subject of debate among paranormal enthusiasts and researchers. While some believe that EVP captures authentic voices from the dead, 8

others attribute these sounds to natural phenomena or trickery. Edison's experiments serve as a reminder of the ongoing quest for scientific understanding and the mysteries of the spirit world.

Conclusion

Thomas Edison's contributions to the field of science and technology are legendary, but his interest in EVP adds a fascinating element to his legacy. While his experiments did not yield conclusive results, his curiosity and open-mindedness led him to explore the unknown and push boundaries. Edison's pursuit of EVP serves as a reminder of the enduring fascination with the paranormal and the potential for scientific advancements to unravel the mysteries that lie beyond.

Electronic Voice Phenomena History

Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVPs), also known as ghost voices or spirit voices, are unexplained sounds or voices captured on electronic recording devices. These sounds are often attributed to paranormal or supernatural 9

phenomena, although there is no scientific consensus on the cause.

Early Investigations

The concept of EVPs can be traced back to the work of pioneering figures in the field of parapsychology. In 1924, American psychologist and researcher C.G. Jung published a paper titled "On the Psychology of Dementia Praecox" in which he discussed hearing voices internally.

Around the same time, Russian psychologist and philosopher Vladimir Bekhterev described auditory hallucinations experienced by schizophrenic patients.

Development of Electronic Recording Devices The advent of electronic recording devices in the early 1900s provided new opportunities for investigating EVPs.

In 1959, American paranormal researcher Friedrich Jürgenson developed the first EVP recording device, known as the "Elektrograf." This device allowed researchers to capture and analyze the sounds heard during paranormal investigations.

10

Paranormal Investigations Over the years, paranormal investigators have used EVPs as evidence to support the existence of spirits or other paranormal entities. They conduct investigations in haunted locations, using equipment such as EVP

recording devices, electromagnetic field detectors, and infrared cameras. The investigators often ask questions and wait for a response from the ghosts.

Analysis Techniques

The analysis of EVPs is a specialized field that involves listening to recorded sounds and identifying any potential EVPs. Researchers use various techniques to analyze the recordings, including manual review, frequency analysis, and speech recognition software. The goal is to isolate and capture any unexplained voices or sounds that may have been recorded.

Controversy and Criticism

While EVPs have been the subject of intense interest and speculation, they have also faced criticism and 11

controversy. Some skeptics argue that EVPs are simply auditory hallucinations or hoaxes, resulting from auditory conditions such as tinnitus or hallucinations. Others argue that EVPs are simply random noise or the result of signal processing techniques.

Ongoing Research

Despite the controversy surrounding EVPs, they continue to fascinate researchers and enthusiasts alike. Today, there are numerous groups and organizations dedicated to investigating EVPs, with ongoing experiments and studies aimed at understanding this phenomenon.

In conclusion, the history of EVPs is a fascinating and controversial topic. The concept of capturing unexplained voices on electronic recording devices has captivated the imagination of many, fueling ongoing research and interest in the paranormal. Whether EVPs truly are evidence of supernatural phenomena or simply byproducts of auditory conditions remains a subject of debate among researchers and enthusiasts alike.

What to expect from an EVP

recording

What can you expect from an EVP recording? First of all, recording an EVP session is a very personal experience.

You will be addressed by your name by the spirits that speak to you. It's good, because you'll realize when you analyze that you're getting actual EVP. Our names are used to help us capture EVP.

However, your name won't always be used, and that's where you have to be attentive. For example, asking a particular question and getting a response will help you determine what is being said.

The first time you start recording may be a shock at first, but overall it's a very exciting process. In the astral world, there are spirits who want to help us, and you will notice, as I did, that they are here to assist us.

13

Making your first EVP recording You're ready to make your first recording now. You will need either a digital voice recorder or a mobile phone. I have been recording EVP using my cell phone since 2009, and it works very well indeed.

You will want to experiment a bit at first, especially with the length of the EVP recording. I recorded my first EVP

for five minutes. Nowadays, I generally record only 2

minutes due to file sizes.

You can record whatever length of recording you like, but smaller EVP recordings take less time to analyze. That's something to keep in mind.

14

EVP recording techniques Here I will outline a variety of methods for recording EVP.

In order to capture great EVP, you should use the following techniques.

Background noise

EVP recordings require some background noise in order to be effective. What is the reason for this? In order to communicate with you via EVP, spirits need white noise.

There are times when you only need a little background noise, such as a television on in the background.

Additionally, you can record in a variety of environments.

In most cases, I record at home, so I don't need to go anywhere special. However, I have recorded EVP in bars, restaurants, and even back gardens in the past. It's important not to have too much background noise on your recorder, as that will drown out any EVP you capture. This lesson is to experiment and try as many different techniques as possible, until you find one that works.

15

Different languages experimentation You can also use different languages in the background to great effect. In this method, spirits will speak in your primary language, which will help you find EVP. As an example, if your primary language is English and your background noise is French, all EVP will be in English.

Although I have used this technique myself, I don't use it widely.

Volume increase for better EVP recordings One of the keys to success when analyzing EVP is increasing the volume. If you just use the volume from the original raw recording, you may not hear very much.

It will be necessary to raise the volume quite a bit, but not so much that it distorts the audio.

16

The best software to use EVP analysis and recording can be done using a number of software programs. As a first step, you will need both analysis and recording software, which is easily available.

In order to record the actual EVP, you will need cell phone software. Here are the apps I recommend for both Android and iOS. On Android, there is a software program called "Voice Recorder Pro". Recordings are in .wav format, which is good for recording EVPs.

Many software programs are available, most of them free of charge. I use Voice Recorder on my iPhone, which is a free app. It also records in wav format, which is convenient for me since I prefer .wav files to mp3s.

Analysis software for listening to EVP

In my opinion, the best software for analyzing EVP is Audacity. It was never designed for EVP analysis, just for editing audio. Nevertheless, this program is perfect for 17

analyzing EVPs. The software program can be downloaded for free from the internet.

Getting started

If you ask a lot of questions, you will generally get an answer, but sometimes you will get answers to questions you didn't ask, which happens sometimes as well.

Sometimes they will tell you things that are even more amazing than what you asked for, so don't get frustrated if they don't always answer. Therefore, you should be patient with them. Please respect the spirits that are listening and speaking, they are just as important as you and me.

It's important to understand how EVPs are classified when you're just starting out.

There are three different classifications that exist.

• Class A - which is very clear EVP voices.

• Class B - which is considered just about understandable.

18

• Class C - which is only barely heard and generally can’t be understood, even with volume increase.

Your voice recorder will capture a variety of types of EVP.

The goal is to establish class A, but due to background noise distortion, that may not always be the case.

My fascination with this field of research never ceases to amaze me. It is something I hope you will enjoy doing.

Case Studies

Here are some recent case studies from my recordings.

These are a combination of answers and statements from the spirit world.

 In this EVP session I asked how many spirits reside in the astral world. The answer was “there is 100 billion”.

19

 In this session I asked is it true that there will be an e.t landing at some point. The answer was this “There will be a landing soon”.

 In another session, I asked about jesus christ’s existence. The answer was this “I’m living with him”.

 In this session I asked about Ufo’s on the other side.

This was the answer, “Yes you'll see ufos” .

 In another session, I asked about whether there is a hell on the other-side. This was the answer “There is no hell”.

 In this session, I got a positive statement from a lady.

This was the message, “Steve come home. Cheers Steve”. This lady is thanking me for being here.

 I got a message from a lady on the other side. She says this “His cat drinks the mud”. Interestingly my cat I discovered was doing just that.

 In this message a male on the other side says this to me. “Steven will come home”. Which is a true statement.
