CHAPTER 7:

– Portfolio Management –

You can manage your own portfolio, or hire a portfolio manager or investment advisor. This Dividend Growth Stock strategy is based around buying, holding, and collecting the dividend payout from the companies in your portfolio. Choosing the companies that payout at a certain time every quarter to set up the weekly strategy. There is no guarantee that every company will hold their dividend commitment to shareholders. By checking your portfolio once a month, or once every quarter you can monitor the activity and make adjustments if needed.

When you find that a company has stopped paying dividends on there shares, you would have to decide if you want to keep the stock even without the dividend because it's a great investment, or replace it with another dividend growth stock.

A major part of the success of the portfolio is the Dividend Reinvestment Plan. It's what increases the growth at a much faster rate. You can decide how much money to reinvest, and how you want to distribute it in the portfolio.

There won't be any maintenance necessary in the beginning. As long as there's no extreme changes in the company dividend or policy. Additional shares purchased over time will also help growth.
