Recommended Reading
The following is a list of books I would
recommend for any entrepreneur. They cover key elements about the internal
journey, as well business books the deal with different aspects of marketing,
sales, time management, and more. The fiction books should be read in full,
enjoy them on all levels. The business books can be skimmed through to get to
the gist of every chapter (they are tactical tools).
In no particular order:
- Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe – as mentioned previously – the deeper you are in your entrepreneurial journey the more this book will resound and fortify for you.
- The Gap and the Gain by Dan Sullivan and Dr.
Benjamin Hardy
- 80/20 of Marketing & Sales by Perry Marshall
- Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy – Like Defoe, Tolstoy
takes the reader through a journey of several characters in life, to try and
illustrate the positive one. While each character is different, they can also
all be represented as different sides of a personality and be interpreted as
pathways in their lives.
- The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes – a
cornerstone business book. Chet wrote this book before the digital marketing
age, and while in my opinion it was written more for managers in organizations
than entrepreneurs just starting out, it carries existential business truths
that you should know – and more than anything else, it’s a great project and
self-management book which is critical for success.
