Lessons for Death

10. Exit gracefully and honorably.

Don’t bathe in self-pity. Finish the job that you started. Every person in your business represents your product or service. The way they look, talk, and act represents your business. Every touch point with your customers, suppliers, or creditors represents your business. You are the leader; lead by example to the very end.

Task: Hold your head up high. Act as if it’s the first day on the job. Encourage and help everyone be the best that they can be. You may feel dead but you’re actually alive. Life will move on. You want to leave a healthy, positive legacy and trail wind.
