Lessons for Rebirth
2. Always start with what you know.
Make the exploration about what you know. You don’t have to travel far to find something new. Entrepreneurs like to explore. Exploration is great; just understand that the life of an explorer can be exciting but that it is often filled with tremendous challenges. If it’s in your heart to find a new planet and new universe after you’ve closed up one company, then go with God; no one will stop you. Have the time of your life while hopefully learning from your past.
Task: If you are a practical person who thinks the ordinary challenge of business is enough, make a list of the things that you are great at and a list of things that you would love to do. Ask yourself, “How will I do things differently now?” Getting support, financial backing, employees, and customers will be easier if you’re an expert in a field and you have a clear plan on how you will be better this time. Don’t hide from your past. Admit the mistakes and the lessons learned.
