CHAPTER FOUR

DO PAID SURVEY WEBSITES REALLY PAY?

Paid survey websites have really grown in popularity. There are more sites being launched as you read this. Each of them swear they have the best paying survey program. Not every site can be the best paying site, and you will need to do a bit of homework on these sites before you decide to sign up with them.

If you choose the right programs you can definitely make some cash. There is not one business type, online or off, that doesn’t have a few bad apples among them. When you approach any business that you are thinking about becoming involved with, make sure you check them out before you join. If it sounds like a scam, it just may be. As I said before you will need to do a bit of homework or research on these sites.

You already know that you will not get rich by joining a few sites that pay for your opinions. You may make a bit of money and that is fine. By utilizing the suggestions in this book, you should be able to make a living working on your computer. By now you know that you will need a realistic attitude when working with these sites and will not expect to become a millionaire in any case.

You are the one who will need to choose which sites you want to work for and that will control how much you will make taking surveys or participating in other money making sites that have been discussed in this book. The proof is always in the reality, only you will be able to tell if a certain website is right for you. Fantastic claims of making millions should not be able to sway your opinion, now that you know the truth.

All you need to do is check everything out and not accept anything that you don’t feel comfortable with. If a site wants you to pay a lot of fees, you should know they are not going to be a very good choice. Some of these sites do ask you to upgrade to a higher level of surveys for a fee. I would not do this right away. Try all of the free sites before you pay for anything. You will most probably find that you will not need to pay anyone a thing to make money with paid surveys.

There are definitely those paid survey sites that are not up to par with the others. Some things to look for in a disreputable site are:

  • Resources and directories that are outdated.
  • Links that are broken, and pages that are no longer available.
  • A site that is difficult to navigate.
  • Have no customer service or help for their members.
  • Do not offer a refund on paid subscriptions, if you are not satisfied.

Many of these sites will charge anywhere from $85 to $125 to register. Do not fall into this scheme. Make sure the site is what you consider a good income provider, at a no or low cost level.

Even if they are closed down for fraudulent behavior, the scammers will simply open another site with new information, and start over again. We all would like to believe that the world is fair and would treat us the way we would treat others, in a straightforward manor and with honesty and integrity. Unfortunately that isn’t always the case.
