The Ride Home

My car was in the shop.  My boss, Rocky, consented to bringing me home, even though I found out later my place was not anywhere near on his way home.

Rocky has done some interesting things.  He was the Pastor of a church for awhile.  He played guitar while he and his wife sang at Jerry Falwell's church on television once.

Rocky has a keen interest in the spiritual welfare of people.  He took such an interest in me as well.  He asked me if I knew I would go to Heaven when I died.  I told him I did not.  He simply showed me that Jesus promises in the Bible that he will save whoever calls upon him.  (But you have to ask.)  I was very interested in what he said.  One verse reads that "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began." (Titus 1:2)  God would have no reason to lie.  I chose with an open mind to accept what he said in the Bible as truth.

I have often let God down since then.  He has never let me down, and never will.  Do yourself a favor and consider the truth of God's Bible if you haven't already.
