Being Happy and Enjoying the Small Things

If we can focus on all the amazing, small things that constantly surround us, we can have a much happier, enjoyable life. Here are some examples:

The sound of a bird singing.

The warm sun on your skin.

The cool breeze as it hits your body and flows through your hair.

The comfort of just lying down and getting off your feet.

Taking time to enjoy your favorite show or movie.

The simple yet blissful enjoyment of a delicious smoothie on a hot day.

Eating one of your favorite snacks, meals or desserts and savoring the flavor, rather than just eating it.

The feeling of jumping in a pool and instantly becoming engulfed and surrounded by water.

The feeling of being clean and refreshed after a shower.

The amazing and relaxing feeling of a jacuzzi after a long day.

There are so many little things that we could all do a better job of enjoying. The fact that you’re reading this book at this very moment means you are almost done and have made a tremendous achievement in growing and developing yourself in a short period of time. Now, allow yourself to feel a sense of relaxation as you take a deep breath. Continue throughout your day and your life looking forward to and enjoying all the small things that we constantly encounter in our day-to-day lives. Think of a few small things in your life that you enjoy, even if it’s hard for you. You will feel a much higher sense of happiness and enjoyment from your life.
