Benny’s Introduction Benny the cat is a hero. He rescues those who are in danger and those who simply need assistance. He is a smart, short-tempered, alert, and brave cat. He is a gray tabby cat with green eyes. He is medium-sized.

Benny resides in the city of Locktown. Benny resides in a small apartment by himself.

Benny is a superhero during the day and a part-time math tutor during the evening hours.

He wears a teal bow tie when he isn’t wearing his superhero bow tie. Benny used to wear a superhero cape, but now his outfit is upgraded to a navy-colored bow tie.

When he wears his superhero bow tie, he gains superhero powers!

Emerald’s Note Benny reads the letter that his friend, Emerald, has sent him by mail. Emerald, the hamster, is Benny’s neighbor and best friend. Emerald is a light brown and white male hamster with light brown eyes.

He recently moved to another city for his new job as a science professor! He used to be a construction worker.

The note reads:

Hello Benny!

I hope you are doing okay. I am very happy with my new place and job! Please feel free to contact me anytime! I miss you, best friend!

Your friend,

Emerald

Benny shed a tear after he read the letter. He sniffled and began to cry. He also looks at the past photos of him and Emerald together.

The Severe Thunderstorm

In the city of Locktown, there is a severe thunderstorm.

The rain is heavy, and the thunder is loud. The clouds are gray. As a result, Cheddar and Darkwave intend to stay with Benny until the storm clears up.

Cheddar, the cat, is Benny’s cousin. He is a chubby, orange-tabby cat with green eyes. He loves to eat. He wears a yellow bow tie. He looks up to his older cousin, Benny. Cheddar is nice, kind, funny, silly, and loyal. He is also Benny’s neighbor, who lives in the same apartment building.

Darkwave is a dark brown tabby male cat with black eyes.

He wears a dark purple cape and purple gloves. He is

usually the villain of the story, but sometimes he has his fair share of friendship with the main characters.

Both have something in common: they are afraid of thunder!

So, Benny, Cheddar, and Darkwave are staying in Benny’s apartment until the weather gets better.

Benny, Cheddar, and Darkwave are sitting on the blue couch. Cheddar squeezed hugged both of them while saying something.

Cheddar: Isn’t this exciting?! It’s like a party!

Darkwave yanks Cheddar’s arm off his shoulders.

Darkwave: It’s not a party!

Cheddar: Aww! I’ll go get the ice cream snacks!

Cheddar gets the chocolate covered vanilla ice cream bars from Benny’s freezer.

They each get one. There is a special message on each stick. As soon as Benny was done with his treat, he read the message to the others.

Benny: Looks like there is a message written on the popsicle stick. Mine says, “You will have a good day.”.

Seems fair.

Cheddar: Woah! I wonder what mine says!

Cheddar reads the message written on his popsicle stick.

Cheddar: It says, “Chocolate is the best treat!”. It sure is!

What about yours, Darkwave?

Darkwave: Let me see. Mine says, “Share your ice cream with a friend.”.

Darkwave began to laugh.

Darkwave: Ha! Jokes on them! I don’t have friends!

Darkwave continued to laugh manically.

There was a loud outburst of thunder.

Benny worked on some math work, Cheddar watched some music videos, and Darkwave read some books.

Darkwave shares his suggestions with the others because he is bored.

Darkwave: I have an idea. Can we play a little game of

“Who Am I?”.

Cheddar cheers and claps his paws.

Cheddar: Sounds fun! I wanna play!

Benny crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

Benny: Sure.

Darkwave: I’ll go first. I’m a hero! Blah! Blah! Blah! I’m a math nerd who doesn’t get much recognition for his

“much” talent!

Darkwave laughed after the joke.

Benny: Really?

Darkwave: What? You want more jokes about you?

Benny yelled at Darkwave to stop. Benny’s voice was so loud that it made Darkwave scared. Benny’s eyes struck red lightning, which happens when the hero gets angry, frustrated, or stressed.

Darkwave: Okay! Okay! I’m sorry! I don’t know which I’m afraid of most: the thunder or Benny’s superpowered anger!

Some time has passed now.

Darkwave: All right, I’m bored.

Benny: Well, so am I.

The storm was getting worse! The parking lot has flooded!

Darkwave looked out the window.

Darkwave: Aw, great. The rain flooded the whole parking lot!

Darkwave signed.

Cheddar: I’m hungry. Does anyone else want to eat?

Benny got some cheese pizza with a healthy salad, and Cheddar got cheese-stuffed breadsticks with carrot sticks.

Darkwave is an unhealthy eater. He doesn’t eat much protein, fruits, or vegetables. He only likes to eat junk food. So, he got chocolate cake with white cheddar popcorn.

Cheddar: Darkwave? Don’t you think that’s a little unhealthy? Don’t you want a nibble of my carrot sticks?

Cheddar kept shoving a carrot stick in Darkwave’s face.

Darkwave: No!

Darkwave slapped the carrot stick off of Cheddar’s paw.

Benny: Yeah, a diet of too much sugar and not enough vitamins. You need healthy foods to help make you strong and healthy.

Darkwave rolled his eyes.

Darkwave: Whatever!

Cheddar was a little concerned for him.

Cheddar: Darkwave! Junk food upsets the immune system! You need vitamins from fruits and vegetables for your strength!

Darkwave: I don’t care what you say!

Benny: Okay. But someday, you’ll learn the hard way of what a junk food diet will do to you.

Darkwave scoffed.

Cheddar: You are what you eat.

Benny: …and you eat junk.

Benny smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

Darkwave: All right! I get it!!

Darkwave took a nap on a chair while Benny read a book on the couch. Cheddar is cleaning Benny’s kitchen.

Darkwave is seeing a dream.

Darkwave’s Dream

There is a pile of cheese-flavored chips in the yellow-colored bowl on the table. Darkwave sees himself as one of the chips!

Darkwave: Oh! What’s going on?! Why am I a chip?

Darkwave yelled.

Benny laughed evilly with a low voice tone. He picked chip Darkwave up.

Darkwave: Benny?! What are you doing?

Benny: Why is my food talking? I’m trying to enjoy my snack!

Darkwave: No! Benny! I’m Darkwave!

Benny: I’m trying to teach you a lesson! As a hero, I help people…

Darkwave shivered in fear and sweated.

Benny: It’s time for you to start eating healthy. Your body’s gonna pay for it if you don’t!

Darkwave cried!

Darkwave: I’m sorry! I will eat healthier! Just please let go of me!

Benny: You are what you eat, remember?

Darkwave: Nooooo!

Darkwave’s dream is over. Darkwave yelled as soon as he woke up! Darkwave ran to Benny and shouted something in his face.

Darkwave: Benny! I promise, I’ll eat healthier!

Benny: What was that about?

Darkwave sat down on the couch.

Benny shrugged his shoulders. He has an unamused look on his face.

Benny got up when he saw that his cousin, Cheddar, just cleaned his kitchen! Benny walked into the kitchen. The kitchen was spotless and clean. This made Benny very happy!

Benny: You cleaned my kitchen? It’s so clean!

Cheddar: I did!

Benny: Thank you, Cheddar, for cleaning my kitchen!

You are going to be a good hero someday!

Cheddar: Wow! Thanks, Benny!

The thunder struck so loudly that it made Darkwave and Cheddar scream in fear. Darkwave and Cheddar hugged each other because they were scared of the sound.

Benny: Don’t worry! It’s just thunder.

Darkwave: You’re not afraid of thunder, Benny?

Benny: No way!

Benny, Darkwave, and Cheddar are now sitting on the couch.

Cheddar: Can we play a game of how much bubblegum I can chew?

Darkwave: No! I don’t play childish games.

Cheddar ran to the kitchen, took all of Benny’s chewing gum, and started to chew them.

Benny: Ugh. Make sure you throw those away after your little game is over.

Benny rolled his eyes and continued to read his math book.

He ran to the living room to show the others his skills.

Cheddar blew a huge bubble from his mouth. It popped on his face.

Cheddar: 5 total!

The rain still continued.

Darkwave: How long is the storm going to last? I wanna go home already.

Benny: Would you relax already? How about you jog in place or something?

Darkwave took Benny’s advice.

Darkwave jogged in place, but before you knew it, he started to get cramps in his legs.

Darkwave: Ow! Ow! Ouch! My muscles!

Benny: That’s what happens when you don’t eat enough protein.

He sat down. Darkwave signed.

The storm finally clears, and the sun comes up!

Darkwave: The storm is over! We can go home!

Cheddar cheered!

It is still wet outside. A rainbow is formed after the rain.

Darkwave: Thank you, Benny, for keeping us company and safe from the storm. It means a lot.

Cheddar: Yeah! Thank you, Cousin Benny!

Benny: Aww. That’s what heroes are for!

Cheddar and Darkwave gave Benny a big hug before heading back home.

Short #1

Benny makes math-themed cookies and donates them to the local food bank. The cookies have either blue, yellow, or red-colored frosting with white-colored lettering on them displaying mathematical equations and numbers.

Short #2

Benny redecorates his bedroom with space-themed stuff.

His bed has blue blankets with white bed sheets that are space-themed, and his bedroom walls are painted blue.

There are yellow-colored stars on one of the sides of his

bedroom. His new pillows are the shapes of a star, a rocket ship, and a planet. Benny’s new bedroom renovation is cool.
