Benny Introduction Benny the cat is a hero. He rescues those who are in danger. He is a smart, short-tempered, alert, and brave cat.

He is a gray tabby cat with green eyes. He is medium-sized. He wears a blue collar. Benny resides in the city of Locktown.

Benny is a superhero during the day and a part-time math tutor during the evening hours.

He wears an electric blue cape with the letter “B” written on it in yellow font. The letter also has a yellow lightning bolt on it. Benny resides in a small apartment by himself.

The cool part about Benny’s hero job is that when he wears his superhero cape, he gains superhero powers.

Benny the Hero: Shorts

Short #1

Benny, Emerald, and Darkwave are traveling inside a cave searching for treasure. The treasure is a missing gold star art painting. Currently, the trio is lost. They are all wearing headlights and bright orange clothing.

Emerald: Uh, Benny? I think we’re lost.

Emerald is Benny’s friend and neighbor. Emerald is a light brown and white male hamster with light brown eyes.

Benny: I know! But we must find the artwork!

Emerald: Can we call someone for help? Darkwave and I forgot our phones!

Benny: I can’t. There is no internet service here. It’s a cave!

Darkwave: Kind of scary down here. Ha.

Darkwave is a dark brown tabby male cat with black eyes.

He wears a dark purple cape and purple gloves. He is the anti-hero of the story.

Darkwave was getting bored, while Benny and Emerald tried to find the treasure by looking at the map. Darkwave was getting impatient.

Darkwave: Call for help already, Benny!

Benny: I don’t have internet, remember?

Finally, the trio finds the gold star painting. It’s very shiny!

Emerald: Yes! We found it!

Benny: It’s great!

Darkwave: Uh, finally! Say, why don’t you take a picture of the art?

Benny took a photo of the painting. All of a sudden, Emerald heard a scary sound.

Emerald: Can we get out here now? I do not like caves.

Darkwave: Yeah. Benny, go search on your phone to see how we can get out of here.

Benny: Didn’t you hear me?! There is no Wi-Fi here!

Darkwave: Dang…Benny, you don’t have to yell.

Short #2

Benny gets an email from Daphne. Daphne is a small, orange-tabby female cat with orange eyes. She wears a pink necklace. She is nice, smart, and outgoing. She is friends with Benny. Benny likes Daphne.

Benny reads the email.

Hi Benny!

I think you are nice and cool. We should hang out someday! Here’s my number!

Benny reads the town newspaper.

Safety Precautions

This list will help one learn ways to reduce danger.

1) Always have a working cellphone with you at all times.

2) Do not upset anyone.

3) Be cautious when walking down the street during the night and rush hour.

4) When seeing a dog, never yell, run, or make eye contact with them, even if you think those tactics may help. Just walk away slowly.

5) Watch out for slippery sidewalks and stairs when out during a rainy or wet day.

Benny is at a restaurant. He is eating macaroni and cheese. There are some people in the restaurant. Suddenly, someone was choking on some food. Pebble, the gray elephant, was eating the food very fast. He was choking on some food pieces, and Benny saw that and rushed to help.

Benny rescued Pebble from choking.

Benny: Are you okay?

Pebble: Yes! Thank you, Benny!

Short #5

Cheddar visits Benny’s apartment. Cheddar, the cat, is Benny’s cousin. He is a chubby, orange-tabby cat with green eyes. He loves to eat. He wears a yellow bow tie.

Cheddar: Hey, Benny? You got anything to eat?

Benny: Yeah. You can look in the fridge searching for food, while I will be in my room searching for answers.

Benny’s Fan Mail Questions Benny received a lot of mail from his fans again. He will record a video about it. He gets ready to record the video with his camera and begins to read his fan mail.

Benny: Fan mail again! Let’s go!

He reads the first letter.

Benny: Okay! Su, the squirrel, asks, “What is your favorite fruit?”. Blueberries and bananas.

Benny: Next one! Basar, the cat, writes, “What is your biggest dream?”. To become a music producer. I would be in the recording studio producing music all day if I could.

Benny: Gizmo! Gizmo, the cat, asks, “What was your best skill in the first grade?”. Art and drawing! I drew the best pictures in all of elementary school! The teacher was even jealous! After a year, my drawing skills were not as good anymore.

Benny: Aqua, the hamster, asks, “What is your favorite vegetable?”. Carrots, spinach, and green beans.

Benny: Cyan, the lion, asks, “What’s the one thing you don’t like?”. To be forced to be nice to anyone that I don’t want to. Most people don’t deserve my kindness.

Benny: That’s everything. I love my fans!

Benny stopped recording the video and posted it online.

Emerald decides to record the whole show with his camera.

Emerald: Hi, everyone! I’m Emerald! I am Benny’s neighbor and best friend! So I guess that’s why I got fan mail from you guys. That’s neat! Let’s begin!

Emerald: Okay! Hannah, the bobcat, writes, “What is your job, Emerald?”. Nice question. I am a part-time construction worker.

Emerald: Mango, the cat, asks, “What is your favorite color?”. Aqua.

Emerald: Tango, the cat, asks, “What is your diet?”. I am a vegan!

Emerald: Cupcake, the cat, asks, “What is your zodiac sign?”. I am a Leo.

Emerald: Okay! That’s all! Thanks for getting to know me better! Until next time!

Emerald stopped recording the video and posted it online.

Short #6

Benny and his friend, Valentino, are at the mall hanging out. Valentino is a dark gray, long-haired tabby male cat with gray eyes. He wears a blue plaid tie. He is cool and nice.

They suddenly see Daphne! Daphne is friends with Benny and Valentino. Benny likes Daphne.

Valentino: Look, Benny! It’s Daphne!

Benny: No, Valentino!

Valentino: Come on! Don’t be shy! Say hi!

Benny: No.

Benny’s arms were crossed. Valentino rolled his eyes.

Valentino: Yo, Daphne! Benny wants to say hi!

Benny: What?!

Daphne the cat turned around and saw her friends, Benny and Valentino. She just waved hello to Benny. Benny smiled at Daphne.

Then Benny had an unimpressed facial expression towards Valentino. Valentino chuckled.

Short #7

Benny gets a call.

Benny: Hello?

Howie: Hi, Benny! I am Howie, the cat. I am looking for a friend to talk to. May you help?

Benny: Aww. Sure.

Benny is at Howie’s place. Benny knocks on Howie’s door. Howie, the cat, opened the door.

Howie: Hi, Benny!

Benny: Hello, Howie!

Howie let Benny inside. Howie is a dark blonde and white male cat with yellow eyes. He wears a brown bow tie.

Benny: So, what’s up?

Howie: I have been feeling down lately. I am always left out in the dark. I don’t have many friends.

Benny: I see. That’s tough! Have you tried journaling?

Coloring? Or joining a theater arts class?

Howie: No. But I will. Thanks for your suggestions! May I have a friendship hug? Please?

Benny: Sure.

Benny gave Howie a big hug. Then Benny went home.
