Benny Introduction Benny the cat is a hero. He rescues those who are in danger. He is a smart, short-tempered, alert, and brave cat.

He is a gray tabby cat with green eyes. He is medium-sized. He wears a blue collar. Benny resides in the city of Locktown.

Benny is a superhero during the day and a part-time math tutor during the evening hours.

He wears an electric blue cape with the letter “B” written on it in yellow font. The letter also has a yellow lightning bolt on it. Benny resides in a small apartment by himself.

The cool part about Benny’s hero job is that when he wears his superhero cape, he gains superhero powers.

Benny the Hero: Shorts

Short #1

Benny is walking in the park, and he sees dog waste on the grass.

Benny: It’s like a minefield when walking on the grass to avoid stepping on dog waste! Sick!

Short #2

Valentino is taking a walk in his neighborhood. Valentino is a dark gray, long-haired tabby male cat with gray eyes.

He wears a blue plaid tie. He is cool and nice. Valentino is one of Benny’s best friends. He saw Darkwave jogging from across.

Darkwave is a dark brown tabby male cat with black eyes.

He wears a dark purple cape and purple gloves. He is the anti-hero of the story.

Valentino: Darkwave? Not this guy again.

Darkwave smiled and stopped jogging so that he could speak to Valentino.

Darkwave: Hey, Valentino, wanna hear a joke?

Valentino: Uh, no?

Darkwave: Okay, good!

Valentino: Ugh…

Darkwave: Each road has a path! The way to Cool City is way too cool for you to vacation there! And the way to Popular Town? It’s closed! But to Loserville? No passport required, and it’s all open to you, my friend!

Darkwave’s joke made Valentino mad. Valentino growled.

Valentino: Get out of my sight!

Valentino turned back and walked away. Darkwave laughed.

Short #3

Emerald, the hamster, is working today. He is a part-time construction worker. He builds and fixes buildings, infrastructure, and more. Today, he has to fix the roof of the coffee shop.

Emerald is Benny’s friend and neighbor. Emerald is a light brown and white male hamster with light brown eyes.

To Emerald’s luck, Benny is hanging out in the coffee shop! Why? Since Emerald’s job is dangerous, Benny can come around and help him.

Benny is enjoying his coffee and cake! Emerald is trying to climb the ladder to get on top of the roof.

Emerald tried to climb the ladder. He was up on the ladder, but all of a sudden, the ladder lost balance, and Emerald was scared.

Emerald yelled!

Emerald: Oh no! I’m about to fall! Someone help!

Emerald’s cries were heard by Benny! Benny saw that the ladder was tipping over, and Emerald began to fall backwards! Benny gasped.

Benny: Oh, no! Emerald! Not on my watch!

Benny rushed over with his super speed powers, caught Emerald, and stopped the ladder from falling. Emerald hugged his best friend!

Emerald: You saved me! Thanks!

Benny: If you need any help, Emerald, call me!

Short #4

Daphne is at a poetry club, and she is going to read some of her poems to the audience. There are only five people there. Benny couldn’t come because he was working.

However, Darkwave and Valentino are there.

Daphne is a small, orange-tabby female cat with orange eyes. She wears a pink necklace. She is nice, smart, and outgoing.

Daphne begins to read her poem to everyone.

Daphne: The sky is blue and the grass is green…

Darkwave: Boring!

Daphne was interrupted by a loud sound! Darkwave let out a loud gas during a quiet poetry meeting! Valentino was sitting beside him.

Valentino: Ew, man! What the?

Valentino covered his nose and waved his paw. Darkwave laughed.

Darkwave: It wasn’t me! I didn’t pass gas; uh, it was you!

Darkwave pointed his finger at Valentino.

Valentino: No! It was you! Liar!

Darkwave: You did it. Simple.

Valentino: Darkwave’s the one who farted! Everyone knows it was you!

The conversation grew louder. This made Daphne and the others upset.

Daphne: We’re leaving!

Valentino: Oh, nice going, Darkwave!

Everyone left and went home.

Short #5

Benny: I don’t like it when people don’t take responsibility for their own actions!

Short #6

Emerald is playing a crossword puzzle while Benny is grading some math work for his students.

Emerald: Perfect timing? Perfect song? Perfect girl? I don’t think the perfect girl even exists; everyone’s perfect, in my opinion.

Benny: But, Emerald, the perfect girl does exist! It’s Daphne!

Emerald: Excuse me?

Benny: I mean, what? Who’s Daphne?

Benny chuckled. Emerald looked at him funny.

Short #7

Benny: I don’t like it when people don’t take me seriously!

Short #8

Benny is cooking pizza in the oven. He was very excited to try a new brand of pizza. He went to the kitchen as soon as the food was done cooking. He opened the oven, and he accidentally burned his paw. Benny screamed because it was painful.

Benny: Ow! Ow! Ouch!

He growled.

Daphne’s Fan Mail Questions Today, Daphne is getting fan mail for the first time. She is close friends with Benny. Fans of Benny decided to ask her questions today!

Daphne is going to record the whole show with her camera.

Daphne: Hello! I’m Daphne. It’s my turn to take the wheel! I got some fan mail. Let’s begin!

Daphne reads the first letter.

Daphne: Okay. Julia, the leopard, writes, “Daphne, what is your favorite color?”. Pink!

Daphne: Next one! Ruth, the bird, asks, “What is your zodiac sign?”. I am an Aries.

Daphne: Julie, the mountain lion, asks, “What is your job?”. I own a makeup store.

Daphne: Last one. Jasmine, the tiger, asks, “What is your favorite food?”. Strawberry cake and spaghetti.

Daphne: That’s all for today! Thank you!

Daphne stopped recording the video and posted it online.

Rex, the rat, was waiting for a package. He is a black rat with brown eyes. He is angry and short-tempered. He lives in the same apartment complex as Benny and his friend, Emerald. The same goes for Benny’s cousin, Cheddar.

Rex the rat ordered expensive cologne. It was supposed to arrive for him, but the mail carrier mixed up the apartment unit numbers. He lives right next door to Benny’s cousin, Cheddar.

Cheddar, the cat, is Benny’s cousin. He is a chubby, orange-tabby cat with green eyes. He loves to eat. He wears a yellow bow tie. He looks up to his older cousin, Benny. Cheddar is nice, kind, funny, and loyal.

The mailman came by and left Rex’s package at Cheddar’s door! He was careless.

Cheddar heard a knock on the door! He saw there was a package left. He was excited. He opened the door.

Cheddar: Woah! A package?! I didn’t order anything.

Cheddar didn’t read the mailing name or address. As a result, he opened the package in excitement.

Cheddar: Perfume? Cool.

He sprayed some on himself! He realizes that it was an expensive perfume, and he liked the smell of it.

Cheddar is happy about the perfume and thinks that it was a special gift for him.

Cheddar: This must be my special surprise gift! I am going to share the news with my neighbors!

He quickly picks up the package box and the perfume, going door-to-door to share the news.

He knocked on Emerald’s door.

Cheddar: Look, Emerald! My special gift!

Emerald: Okay? Good for you?

Cheddar: I know!

Cheddar knocks on Rex’s door. Not knowing that the package was originally for him, Cheddar is unaware of anything. Rex opened the door!

Rex: Yes? Crazy orange cat?

Cheddar: I got a special gift! Wanna see?

Rex saw that it looked just like the perfume he bought. He gasped. He also screamed!

Rex: That looks like my missing package!

Cheddar: What? It’s mine.

Cheddar laughed.

Rex: No, it isn’t!

Cheddar laughed. Cheddar sprayed some perfume on himself. Rex gasped again because Cheddar was wasting his perfume.

Rex: Stop spraying that! You are wasting it! That’s mine!

Cheddar: Prove it’s yours!

Rex: Then, why does it say my unit number on it?

Cheddar: What? It says #7. Oh! I live in unit #5.

He nervously chuckled.

Cheddar: Well, I still need more proof!

Rex growled.

Rex: Why does it say my name, then?!

Cheddar read the package, and it does say Rex.

Cheddar: Oh. I forgot to read it. My bad.

Rex: I am so frustrated right now! Idiot! Give it back!

Cheddar: Fine. It’s the right thing to do. It is right to give the item back to the original owner. I have also learned my lesson. I have to read the address and name written on the package or mail before I open any.

Rex rolled his eyes.

Rex: Just give it.

Just as soon as Cheddar was about to give the perfume back to Rex, it accidentally slipped out of his paws! It dropped on the ground, and the glass bottle shattered.

Rex: Oh! What?! My perfume!!

Rex screamed.

Cheddar was shocked. He apologized to Rex.

Rex: No! Get out of my face!

Rex shut the door, and Cheddar went back home and tried to forget that any of this ever happened.
