There was silence, that made him to go to where he kept the bird, but to his surprise, he can’t see the bird again. He went to the kitchen and saw his children eating.

He asked them; what they were eating but they did as if they didn’t hear. Then the tortoise was angry and demanded for an answer from his children, but they were afraid and told him what they have done.

The tortoise was very angry that he flogged his children very well with his cane, and he went back to the farm again hoping to find another bird like the one his sons killed.

On reaching the farm, he saw a little beautiful bird, and he asked the bird in his usual manner; what is your name? The Bird told him that his name is

B

The Greedy Friend

Once upon a time, there were two friends, one was called “Elvis” and the other one was called “Kelvin”.

Elvis is always good to his friend Kelvin, but kelvin being always stingy and greedy claims to have nothing at all.

Whenever Elvis has money or anything that is good to him, he would always bring it so that both of them will make use of it together.

One day Elvis’s Mother was sick, so Elvis tried to get the hospital bill, because he had already taken her to the hospital.

The hospital bills were ₦5,000.00 (five thousand naira). Elvis went to his friend Kelvin, hoping to loan money, Kelvin being so greedy and stingy told Elvis that he had no money.

Elvis explained the situation, but Kelvin refused helping him out.

That same day Elvis’s mother died and he didn’t know how to bury her, because he had no money.

With the little he had, he bought some items like: tomatoes, pepper, oil, salt, onion and other things and took his mother to the market and placed her on a sit, after arranging those items

And it was like she is selling it, and he went and hid himself somewhere around there, luckily a very wealthy man came to buy some items and saw the woman sitting.

He asked her to sell to him, tomatoes and pepper, but the woman was just looking at him, he noticed there was no reply, he touched her, she fell on the floor and Elvis came and started shouting; you have killed my mother, the rich man being very good brought money and they both buried her and he made Elvis rich.

Elvis went to his old time friend Kelvin, but when Kelvin saw that he was richer than him, he asked Elvis of how he got his wealth?

Elvis remembered what Kelvin did to him, when his mother was at the point of death until she died, told kelvin that he killed his mother, and took her to the market for hawking.

And people rushed and bought all her parts, and suddenly with the money realized I became rich he said.

After their discussion the next day Kelvin went to the village with gifts and presents for his mother, as his mother was looking at the clothes, shoes and other things that is contained in the gifts and presents. Kelvin went to the kitchen to get a mortar pistol, so as to use it to kill his mother. After this operation he put her inside a basin and carried her to the market, and started hawking; “buy human parts for your enjoyments” Everyday he goes to the market, people always run, and his mother’s dead corpse was already decaying in the basin; he later went and buried her.

When Kelvin saw Elvis, he told him that the plan did not succeed, that whenever he starts hawking “buy human parts” everybody would start running. And Elvis said that it was the same method he used before he became rich, Kelvin being so angry ordered his body guards to put Elvis inside a coffin and throw him inside the sea.

Inside the coffin, Elvis was shouting “I don’t want to be a king, you people are forcing me to be a king” I won’t be a king.

Fortunately for him the guards stopped and went back to bring something they forgot. Elvis was still shouting that he don’t want to be a king. Then a man heard him and brought key to open the coffin, which made it possible for Elvis to come out. Elvis closed the Coffin thanked the man and ran away, when the guards came back, they thought it was Elvis that is still inside the coffin, they threw him inside the sea, 2 weeks later he came to Kelvin.

Kelvin was afraid and wanted to run and Elvis told Kelvin that, when he was thrown to the sea, they made him king. And now he has a lot of money more than before.

Kelvin out of greed instructed his guards to throw him in the sea that led to his death and Elvis was arrested and charged to court, but after explaining himself, backed up with testimonies from Kelvin’s guards, he won the case and went home.
