ACT II

Chorus

The second act begins with the Chorus summarizing the action of the first act and introducing the action of the next. The actor briefly explains that Juliet now fills the place in Romeo’s heart that was formerly held by Rosaline and that Romeo has now completely forgotten all about his former love interest. The Chorus also explains that although Romeo may not openly and safely visit Juliet, his passion is so great that he will find a way to overcome this difficulty.
