You have now built an entire text from brainstorming to ebook. You are now embarking upon the business of publishing your ebook. By publishing we mean that you are going to set your text on a website somewhere where people can download the ebook for free or can obtain that text by paying a fee. There will be multiple copies made through some process.
You have a responsibility to your readers, particularly if they are paying customers, to have up to date information and different versions of your text when changes need to be made. So, before you release your book you need to put into place policies as to how you are going to release your book and to systematize any changes to that book by using the principles outlined in this chapter.
