Understanding natural light

Natural light is the light provided by the sun and other natural sources like the moon. It is constantly changing throughout the day, which can result in different lighting conditions depending on the time of day, weather, and location. Here are some key characteristics of natural light:

● Soft, diffused light: Natural light can be soft and diffused, especial y during the early morning and late afternoon hours, known as the

"golden hour." This type of light can create a warm, glowing effect in your images and is ideal for capturing portraits and landscapes.

● Directional light: The sun can also create more directional light, such as during the middle of the day when it is directly overhead. This type of light can create harsh shadows and high contrast, which can be chal enging to work with but can also produce striking, dramatic images.
