When I develop a website my first preference is for a Content Management System as they make adding content easy. I use Wordpress for the majority of my work; its easy to install and configure and it allows me to focus on writing content that gets indexed by the search engines. The Web Business Architecture website is a good example of a Wordpress website.
Aside: My second preference is for a simple 3 or 4 page website coded in HTML and CSS. You can see an example of this here.
To get started with Wordpress go to www.wordpress.com and sign up to create a blog. You will be amazed at how easy it is and be warned you may find it addictive so don't spend too much time on it as you need to focus on your business :-)
By blogging on Wordpress.com you will get a good feel as to the capabilities of wordpress. If you decide you like wordpress and want to create a more professional website there are a number of options open to you. Many hosting companies such as Hostgator allow you to install wordpress quickly and easily. This way you have complete control over how it works and you can customize it to your business needs.
