Sales Pages

Lets start with a definition:

 

DEFINED: “Sales Page”

This is a single page on your website dedicated to selling one of your products or services. Its purpose is to get your qualified visitors (prospects) excited about what you have to offer and asks them to buy now.

There are two main types of sales page: long copy and short copy. Typically the more expensive the product or service the longer (more justification) the sales letter needs to be. Different people develop different styles as they progress their business on the web though short copy is easier to start with if you are doing it yourself. You have probably come across many examples of sales pages on the web, some good and some not so good. A good sales page sells the benefits of your product or service without hype. Too many sales pages are full of empty promises (my definition of hype). The sales letter for this report is a good example of a short copy sales letter.
