One important key to your online success is continuous improvement. You need to identify ways of measuring how well each of your we business processes are performing and look to constantly improve performance.
There are many tools available that allow you to do this. Two of the more popular tools are Google Analytics and Statcounter. Both of these tools allow you to add tracking code to your web pages so that you see how may visitors your websites are getting. They also allow you to see detail such as:
Ï which pages are most viewed
Ï where your visitors are based
Ï what keywords were used to find your pages
The details of these tools are beyond the scope of this report but as an example lets look briefly at the scenario where you decide to run an Adwords Campaign and have multiple landing pages.
In this scenario you can measure the conversion rate for each page. The conversion rate is the number of people who visited your sales page and became customers. So if 10 out every 100 page visitors became customers then your conversion rate would be 10%. Once you have this information you can choose to focus on the page which has the highest conversion rate.
This is a simple example but you stand to gain much from many small continuous improvements.
