"You're sweet," she said,
"You are, too," he said.
"Go back to your room before you get caught talking to me and I have to explain what's happening; that you don't even know me."
She nodded, said, "Ok," and walked back to her room, very quickly. Fortunately, her room was very close to the bathroom that Noah came from.
As he walked down the hallway, Noah said, "It's very strange," as he caressed his own lips. "That woman kisses like Jennifer! Oh, my God, she can't be Jennifer! I saw Jennifer dying!"
Everett was still in Emma's room with Hailey Marie. Since Noah didn't see them walking into her room one hour and twenty minutes earlier, he didn't know where they were, although he knew who they were with, so he just ran back to his car and got into the passenger's seat. He buckled his seatbelt and just waited for Hailey Marie and Everett for a few minutes. He felt like going out on a drive, but he didn't dare to leave Everett behind again. Everett was seeing things that weren't there, but it wasn't because of his mental illness. These things that he saw weren't hallucinations, they were very real. They were premonitions, and Everett told him about them.
He was so afraid that he trembled violently, involuntarily. "Oh, my God," he said, "Everett said that he saw death surrounding me and I believe it." He cried in utter desperation and fear. "I don't think that I can be without him much longer." Fortunately, Emma had been given three days to spend with Everett to see how her relationship with him would improve, and she, Hailey Marie and Everett were walking out. "Oh, thank you, God, thank you for loving me so much, despite being the way that I am," he said and let out a heavy sigh.
They walked out to the car and Everett sat on the driver's seat, Hailey Marie sat in the passenger's seat, and Noah got out and sat on the backseat with Emma. They sat far away from one another to avoid physical contact at all costs. "Hi," said Noah looking away.
She looked at him, said "Hi," and looked away.
As Everett and Hailey Marie buckled their seatbelts, Everett asked, "Are you ok, Noah?" and then said, "I see that you're so afraid you won't even introduce yourself formally to my sister."
"Yes, I am," he replied, still looking away from all of them.
"You believe me, don't
you?"
