A screenplay is written in scenes and it is natural for the book writer to regard these as chapters. However, scenes, their content and length, have a much greater impact on the final product than the chapters of a book.
By this I mean that the screenwriter can set the tone and pace of his work by varying the length of his scenes, with shorter scenes speeding up the pace, especially if the most dramatic moments take place there.
Reflective scenes with exposition can obviously be taken at leisure, but avoid being too wordy.
