CHIOMA

No, it isn’t.

DISSOLVE TO:

INTERROGATION ROOM, NIGERIA POLICE STATION - MOMENTS LATER

A medium-size room with nothing but a chair behind a simple desk. The clear desk is in the center of the interrogation room, above a ceiling fan rotating very slowly. Amara is sweating profusely and restlessly seated on the chair with her hands upon the desk, locked together like Siamese twins, with a handcuff. The door swings open. Tega and Femi walks into the room.

FEMI (to Amara)

Today was suppose to be a good day. Do you know why?

Femi pauses, giving room for Amara’s response. Amara says nothing. He continues in a civil tone:

FEMI (CONT’D)

Today is my parent’s silver Jubilee anniversary, and you ruined it. Now my father doesn’t want to see me again.

Tega cuts in arrogantly:

TEGA (to Amara)

You see my face so?

Amara looks on to Tega’s heartless and soul-ripped face.

TEGA (CONT’D)

I no get joy. If I sand you one, you go fall twice. You better tell me where Uche dey hide or I go make you wor wor like me so.

Tega frightens Amara as he raises his hand above her.

TEGA (CONT’D)
