FEMI

(to Bus Conductor #2) She’s with me.

The Bus Conductor looks away, and continues taxing other passengers for their fares. Chioma is surprised.

CHIOMA

(to Femi; re: Bus Conductor #2)

Does he know you? Are you two like friends or what?

FEMI (proudly)

He knows my uniform. I be staff.

CHIOMA

Your own better oh!

The pair laugh in synchrony.

EXT. FEMI’S APARTMENT - FEW MOMENTS LATER

We can see a three-storey block of thirty-two flats, with decolorized painting, and an uninviting surrounding. Femi lives in one of the thirty-two one-bedroom apartments.

Private vehicles are parked in front of the old building in a single row, away from the tarred road, on which few vehicles pry slowly along. The building is beautifully lit with balcony lights, and the tarred road with street lights.

A blue Police METRO PATROL van is parked in the midst of private vehicles in front of the block. The engine is turned off, and so is the inner light of the vehicle. Tega and Kunle occupy the interior of the van, with Tega in the driver’s seat. The Officers are in uniform, scanning through the environment for anything SUSPICIOUS or UNUSUAL.

KUNLE

What do you think they are doing right now?

TEGA (sarcastically)

Femi for don dey sweat on top her

body by now. (MORE)
