With his entire plan in place, Max phoned Brander and confirmed the time, June 27th at 9.00pm, and where he should be picked up by Malenkov. As soon as the £10 million had been transferred, he would see it on his laptop. Only then would he get in Malenkov’s car. They would go to where the cash was hidden and Malenkov could have it back.
As a final point Max said, “Tell Malenkov to behave and not try anything silly so everyone wins. By the way, I hope you have your security arrangements in place?”
