Chapter 11

It was 4:00 in the afternoon and Cecil's Caddy was parked backwards in a spot in the parking lot of Sam's Sports Bar.  Cecil and Johnny waited in the front seat while Sal and Ernie waited in the back.

“Are you sure they said four?” Sal said a little bothered while he asked Ernie.

“That’s what they said,” Ernie replied.

“They better show up soon or we’re out of here.  I have other things to do,” Sal told Ernie.

Then they saw Red’s white Chevy Cavalier pull into the parking lot with Red behind the wheel and Mindy in the passenger seat.

Cecil started up his Caddy and drove over to Red’s car while he parked, and blocked his car in its spot.

Sal and Johnny got out of the Caddy.  Sal walked up to Red while Johnny walked up to Mindy the second they got out of his Cavalier.

Sal stormed up to Red and poked the barrel of his pistol into Red’s tummy.

Johnny stormed over to Mindy and quickly poked the barrel of his pistol into her tummy.

Red and Mindy looked scared to death.

“Come with us and don’t make a scene,” Sal quickly said with a threatening tone and he pressed the barrel harder into Red’s tummy.

“What do you want with us?” Red asked nervously.

“Never mind and just get in the car,” Sal replied and grabbed Red’s arm and whisked him to the Caddy while Johnny whisked Mindy to the car.

Johnny threw Mindy in the front seat while Sal threw Red in the backseat.

It was quiet in the Caddy while Cecil raced his car out of the bar parking lot.

A few minutes later, Jake pulled his Corolla into the parking lot of Sam’s Sports bar.

“There’s Red’s car,” he told Sadie then he saw an empty parking spot.  The same spot that Cecil used a few minutes ago.

They got out of his car and walked to the bar.

Sadie and Jake entered Sam’s and stood near the door and looked around for Red and Mindy.

“Where are they?” Red asked while he scanned the bar over and couldn’t find their friends.

Jake got out his cell phone out of his pocket and looked in his address book.

Inside Cecil’s Caddy, Mindy looked scared, and Red was a little pissed.

Then Red noticed Ernie sitting next to him and recognized him from around campus.

“I’ve seen you around campus.  Who the hell are you and what’s going on?” Red told Ernie and looked at Sal, Johnny, and Cecil.

“We didn’t do anything to you,” Mindy cried out visually upset.

“Just shut up and enjoy the ride sweet cheeks,” Sal called out from the back.

“Sweet cheeks?” Mindy mouthed Sal’s comment and that started to piss her off.   She opened her mouth to reply but her cell phone rang from inside her pants pocket.

“Grab that, Johnny,” Sal ordered.

Johnny looked around for her ringing cell phone and realized it was in her left front jeans pants pocket.   He reached over and slid his hand into her pocket.

She slapped the top of his hand hard and it left a red mark.

Johnny got pissed and with his other hand, he quickly squeezed her throat.  “Don’t ever do that again!   Do you understand missy?” Johnny said with a threatening tone while he glared at her.

Red wanted to jump across the front seat to save Mindy but knew that would be a stupid moved since Johnny had her by her throat.

Mindy gasped for air while Johnny squeezed her throat and reached into her pants pocket.

He removed her ringing cell phone and saw that it was from Jake.  He rolled his window down and threw her cell phone out the window.

Mindy’s cell phone bounced a few times off the street then it came to a rest against the curb.  Her cell phone still rang then it was quit.

Inside Cecil’s Caddy, Mindy and Red both were getting scared and wondered if they were going to be killed.

“Honey.  You would love this Italian sausage,” Johnny said while he grabbed Mindy’s hand and placed it on his crotch.

“Asshole!” Mindy replied while she forced her hand away from his crotch.

“Listen bitch.  One more nasty word out of your fucking mouth and I'll let Ernie back there have his way with you,” Sal called out from the back.

Mindy turned around, just as Ernie stuck out his tongue and moved it around simulating oral sex with her.

Mindy turned back around and got the dry heaves thinking of his tongue on her crotch.

Johnny hugged the car door in anticipation of Mindy barfing any second.

“Leave her alone!” Red yelled out pissed.

Both Ernie and Sal immediately elbowed Red in the side of his face.

Sal pressed the barrel of his revolver into Red's forehead.  “Don't make me use this,” he threatened.

Red looked cross-eyed at the barrel and swallowed hard.  “I won’t,” he replied then swallowed hard again.

Then Sal thought of something.  “Ernie, get the cell phone off this asshole,” he said.

Ernie felt up Red’s pants pocket then reached inside the right front pocket, removed Red’s cell phone, and handed it to Sal.

Sal rolled down his window and threw Red’s cell out the window.    He chuckled while he watched Red’s cell phone bounce all over the street.

Inside Sam’s Sports Bar, Jake closed his cell phone and shoved it in his pants pocket.  “She didn't answer,” he told Sadie.

“Try Red,” she told him.

Jake nodded in agreement while he searched for Red’s number in his address book.  He found his phone number and made a call.   He waited and waited and waited, and then he closed his cell phone.  “He’s also not answering,” he told Sadie.

Sadie thought about that for a few seconds.  “Maybe they’re doing, you know what,” she replied in a jokingly manner.

Jake thought about her comment for a seconds and thought it could be true.  Then he saw the smile on her face and knew she was kidding.

“Well can try later.  Let's go to my room and do some Internet searching on this Regain potion,” Sadie said while she grabbed Jake by the hand and walked his out of the bar.

Back in Bobby and Jake’s dorm room, Bobby and Stefon danced and sang along with Abba's Dancing Queen song.

They looked so sweet together and Bobby loved his time together with Stefon.

In the hallway, numerous nerds listened outside the dorm room and chuckled at the sound of Bobby and Stefon.

Back in the dorm room, Bobby and Stefon stopped after the song ended.

They sat down on his bed.

Bobby gazed into Stefon’s eyes, and he couldn’t resist and leaned in for a kiss.

Stefon got up.  “I’m sorry Bobby, but I have eyes for another guy,” he said while he gut up and walked away.

Bobby felt hurt he was rejected again and Stefon noticed.   He walked back down and sat on the bed.

“It’s not that I find you attractive, it’s just that I know this isn’t the real you.  It’s that potion talking,” Stefon said but deep down inside, he would love to have Bobby as a life partner.

“I’m sorry.  I guess I’m use to everybody wanting me.  I mean girls,” then Bobby got up worried and paced around the room.

“Am I going to be gay forever?” he said while he looked at Stefon and his eyes welled up.

Stefon looked at Bobby while he paced around the room upset.  Then he looked at Jake’s bed and an idea popped in his head.

He rushed over to Jake’s bed and reached under the mattress.  He smiled when he felt a magazine buried under it.  He pulled out a Hustler magazine and held it up.  “Let’s do a test,” he told Bobby while he waved the magazine at him.

Stefon walked back over and sat down on Bobby’s bed.   He patted the bedspread for Bobby to sit beside him.

Bobby walked over and sat down next to Stefon who immediately opened up the magazine to the first naked girl pictures.

“Here you go Bobby.  Remember the days when you lusted for women,” Stefon said while he pointed at a naked women named Christy who had her legs wide opened and her shaved pussy showing.

Bobby looked at the picture of Christy and he showed no interest.  “Nothing.  I’m now gay and I guess I’ll just have to live with that fact,” he said while he got up and walked away from the magazine.

“You know, there’s nothing wrong with being gay,” Stefon said in an effort to comfort Bobby.

“I wonder what type of man would want me?” Bobby asked while he paced around the room.

“A loving man,” Stefon replied.

Bobby looked at Stefon and his eyes welled up.

Stefon got off the bed and walked up to Bobby.  He placed his arms around him and Bobby rested his head on Stefon’s shoulder.

“We have a meeting with Mindy, Red, Jake and Sadie at eight at Sam’s Sports bar,” Stefon said while he comforted Bobby.

“Why?” Bobby asked curiously.

“To hear if they discovered how to return you back to your old self,” Stefon replied but deep down inside, he didn’t want to meet the old Rocky Malone.  He really liked Bobby Malone.

“Okay,” Bobby said while he hugged Stefon and loved the feeling of a man in his arms.

In Sadie’s dorm room, she and Jake sat by her computer monitor while she searched the Internet.

“Here's something.  Here’s a book called The Complete Guide to Witches Potions,” she said when she looked at some search results.

Jake looked at the book, originally written in 1921, was once sold on Amazon but went out of print 70 years ago and used copies were no longer available.  “Crap,” Jake said.

She clicked on the “Take a Peek” link for the book.   They looked at the Table of Contents and saw a chapter called Reverse The Potion.  Then under that chapter was listed a potion called Regain.

“Damn!  That book has the potion we need,” Jake said in frustration.

Sadie thought for a few seconds and then tried searching on eBay.  Nobody was selling a copy.  She tried some other books sites and came up with nothing.

“I can't believe that this book is out of print. What the hell are we going to do now?” Jake asked extremely concerned while he stared at the monitor.   Then his eyes widened when he remembered something.  “Wasn’t there an antique book store downtown?” he asked Sadie.

She thought for a few seconds.  “Yeah” she said then quickly performed a search for antique bookstores in Bellwood.

“Harvey’s Antique Bookstore,” Jake replied while Sadie clicked on the link in the search results.

She navigated through the website for Harvey’s website and found an icon for The Complete Guide to Witches Potions book with a price tag of $120.

“Wow, it’s expensive,” he said while he looked at the price tag again.

“I only have fifty dollars in my checking account.  I won’t get my dad’s check until two weeks,” Jake said.

“Don’t worry, I can cover it,” Sadie offered.

“I can’t let you do that,” Jake said.

“No problem.  You’ll just have to take me out on a couple of dates to make up for it,” Sadie replied with a warm smile.

“Agreed,” he quickly replied and shook her hand to seal the deal.

She clicked on the hours of the bookstore then she looked at her watch.  “We have forty minutes until it closes.  Let’s go,” Sadie said then she rushed over to her dresser and opened up the top drawer and removed her checkbook.

She grabbed Jake by the hand and rushed him out of her dorm room.

In the basement of Cecil’s house, Mindy and Red sat up against the block wall with their hands tied behind their backs with rope.  Their ankles were duct taped together and Duct tape covered their mouths, and they looked scared to death.

Twenty minutes later, Sadie and Jake pulled up and parked his Corolla at the curb in front of alongside Harvey’s Antique Bookstore.

They rushed out of his car and ran to the front door.  They tried to go inside but it was locked.  Then they saw the “Closed” sign that hung in the store.

“I don’t understand.  The website stated they closed at eight.  It’s now seven-thirty,” Sadie said while she looked at her watch.

Jake pounded on the glass door and peeked inside.  It was dark.  “Shit!” he said while he pounded on the glass hoping someone was still inside.

They walked to the display window and saw The Complete Guide to Witches Potions book on display amongst other antique books.

“Great!” she cried out in joy then looked back at the store hours.   “They open up at eight in the morning.  We’ll come back here first thing in the morning,” she said.

Jake looked at his watch.  “Let’s head to Sam’s and hopefully see Red and Mindy,” he said then grabbed Sadie’s hand and walked her to his car.  He played the gentleman and opened up the passenger door for her.

“Oh, that’s a first,” she said while she sat down in the passenger seat impressed with Jake.

He got behind the wheel and drove away.

Fifteen minutes later, Jake pulled his Corolla into the parking lot of Sam’s Sports Bar.  He parked and after he opened the door for Sadie, they walked through the parking lot.

“They must be here,” Jake said while he spotted Red’s car still in the parking spot.

They walked to the front door of the bar, and they went inside.

Sadie and Jake stood by the front door and scanned the bar over for Mindy and Red.

“Where are they?” he asked.

“Let’s sit down and wait,” Sadie replied then grabbed Jake by the hand and walked over to an empty booth.  They sat down side-by-side and waited.

Then the front door opened and Bobby and Stefon entered.  Bobby changed his clothes and he wore tight designer jeans and a rose colored silk shirt.

Stefon and Bobby looked the bar over and saw Jake and Sadie in the booth.

“Jake!” Bobby called out in a sweet voice while he waved at Jake and Sadie.

Everybody in the bar turned and looked at Bobby.

“Is that Bellwood’s quarterback, Rocky Malone?” a man at a booth asked his friend.

“Nah, no way,” the man’s friend replied when he saw Rocky.

Stefon and Bobby walked over to the booth and sat down.

Jake didn’t know what to say to his roommate.

Bobby reached across the table and grabbed a hold of Jake’s hand.  “Hi roomie,” Bobby said in a warm voice.

Jake hesitated for a few seconds.  “Ah, hi,” he replied and removed his hand away from Bobby.

“I don’t believe we’ve met.  I’m Bobby,” he said while he stuck his hand out to Sadie.

“Sadie,” she replied while she shook his hand.

“So, my sweet friend Stefon tells me that trying to find some type of potion to return me back,” Bobby said.

“We are Rocky,” Jake said.

“Please call me Bobby.  Rocky sounds too much like a bully,” he replied.

“Okay, Bobby,” Jake said.

“And we found a book at a downtown store with a potion we believe will work.  We plan on picking it up first thing in the morning,” Sadie replied.

“Oh, that’s so sweet of you,” Bobby said in a sweet tone while he reached out and held Sadie’s hand.

Then Jake looked around the bar.  “I wonder where Mindy and Red are?” he said and started to get concerned.

“I saw his car outside,” Bobby said.

A waitress named Kathy walked up to their booth.

“Would you like something to drink?” she asked.

“Water for me,” Stefon replied.

“I’ll also have water,” Bobby said.

“No beer?” Jake asked curiously as his roommate had always ordered beer when in this bar.

“No, beer makes me feel bloated,” Bobby replied.

“Water for me,” Sadie said.

“Me too,” Jake added.

Kathy walked away.

The next thirty minutes were quiet in the booth while Jake ate a hamburger and Sadie, Stefon and Bobby ate a Veggie burger.  They just paid their bill and sat around the booth.

“I wonder what happened to Mindy and Red?” Jake said while he looked around the bar.

Then it dawned on Bobby and he looked sad.  “She hates me because I’m gay,” he said and his eyes welled up.

“No,” Jake quickly jumped in.  “She and Red were out there trying to get some information about this Steelers scout.  I just don’t know why they didn’t show up,” he said.

“Are you sure she’s trying to help?” Bobby said while a tear ran down hi cheek.

“I’m sure,” Jake said then he saw that the place was packed and people waited at the front door for an empty table.

“Maybe they’re still talking with people?” Sadie questioned to offer a possible answer.

“Could be,” Jake replied while he continued to watch the people at the front door.  “People are waiting for a table, we better get going,” he added.

They all got up from the table and walked to the front door.  Bobby opened the door and held it for everybody.  Jake looked amazed, as Rocky would never perform such an act of kindness.   Then part of Jake wanted Rocky to stay gay, but he knew it wasn’t meant to be and shook that thought out of his head.

They walked to the parking lot and stood by Stefon’s Prius.

Bobby looked at Jake and gave a warm smile.  “Thank you Jake for trying to help me,” he said then walked up to Jake and gave him a loving hug.

Jake felt a little uncomfortable being in Bobby’s arms.  He really felt uneasy when Bobby gave Jake a light kiss on his lips as a show of his appreciation.

Jake looked at Sadie who discreetly chuckled, and then her eyes widened with an idea.  “Jake, since need to get up early and get that book, why don’t you sleep in my room?” she offered with a warm smile.

Jake looked at Bobby and was a little afraid of being alone with him then he looked at Sadie, who looked so sexy and inviting.  “Sure,” he replied.

Bobby looked at Stefon.  “Why don’t you sleep in my room?” he offered.

Jake couldn’t believe his ears the second he heard Bobby request Stefon to sleep over with him.

“Okay,” Stefon answered.

“We’ll be in touch tomorrow,” Jake told Bobby and Stefon.

“Okay,” Bobby replied then he grabbed Stefon by the hand and they walked to Stefon’s Prius.

Jake and Sadie walked over to his Corolla.

They drove off in different directions.

Later that night, Jake slept on the floor while Sadie slept in her bed.  He didn’t want to take any chances on ruining a potential relationship, so he decided to be the gentleman.

Back in Bobby’s room, he slept with Stefon in his bed.  Bobby looked over at Stefon and he immediately got a boner.  He leaned over and planted a kiss on Stefon’s lips then he ran his hand down to Stefon’s crotch.   Stefon accepted Bobby’s kiss and the feel of his hand on his crotch gave him an instant boner.  Then Stefon pushed Bobby’s hand away and sat up.

“I’m sorry, but this isn’t right.  I know this isn’t the real you, so I think I better sleep in my own bed,” Stefon said while he got out of the bed.

Bobby’s feelings were hurt but he knew Stefon was right and didn’t try to stop him from leaving.   He closed his eyes and wondered if he would return back to normal.
