Chapter 48
Cheryl arrived at the R-Graphix office around 9:00 AM. Raquel was already seated at her desk going over some contracts and specifications for a couple of new clients.
“Good Morning Raquel.”
“Hi,” Cheryl said. “How are you today?”
“I am very well and yourself?”
“I am fine Raquel.” They both embraced. “What’s the order of business today Raquel?”
“Oh I was just looking over some our business for new clients. We have twelve new business contracts and a few for previous clients we both had. Now with R-Graphix I am certain we’ll attract many more. We need to get our new signage, some advertisements and a few ads running on television. Not necessarily in prime time as we’ll want to keep our expensive in check so as to maximize our profits. We need to have a good foundation.”
“Oh yes” said Cheryl. “Shall we call Jason to assist us with our outdoor signage for the office?”
“Well I spoke with him and he said what we decide is fine with him. He said however if we have a hard time to give him a shout. So let’s go outside and see first. And by the way I am leaving you to do the graphics for the signs. That’s your area of expertise. I have ordered a new auto-cad machine which will arrive on Friday. Once it is set up I will need you for two hours a day for four weeks so you can be familiar with it.”
There is also a new large format printer coming. If there is any equipment you need just let me know.
“Oh I’ll be happy to learn anything new. I feel excited at this new business venture and my future ahead. I Good. I am happy to hear. Let’s go outside shall we?”
“Sure Raquel. I can see Andre has you glowing. Hmmmm!!!! I am happy for you.”
“And I see Jason has you in tip top shape. I too am happy for you.”
“Oh that man. He’s practically like a second skin. I love him though so I won’t change anything as far as that is concerned.”
“Oh k, here we are. We need a large sign on the front of the building. Along the top front. Maybe about four feet by the length of the building.”
“Yes that will be good.”
“What do you suggest for the roadway?”
“A tall one about ten feet with our logo and name bold and then we can list all of our services vertically in different colors.”
“Sounds fine to me. When you have the proofs please let me see them. How soon can that be?”
“Tomorrow afternoon I will have them done. I will email them to you as soon as I am done. Would you also like me to do the business cards and flyers?”
“Oh yes. Thanks. I had forgotten about those. Thanks for getting the phone, internet and fax services. And the Cable TV is just fine.”
“You are welcome. Do we need to do a site visit to a couple of places where we will place our advertising?”
“Yes we will. Plan for that for next week. Before we go maybe we could scout a few places an afternoon. Then next week can start the real work on that.”
“That’s fair. I will start my planning on that.”
“Good. Let’s go back inside then we can review these contracts together.”
“Sure,” said Cheryl. She was happy. Together she and Raquel seemed to be quite a team already. I am sure Jason will be pleased, she thought.
