Another run-down place. Plank floors butting bare walls. A knock.

"Who is it?" Asked Steve.

"Your father--open the door," said Tony. Steve opened, Tony stepped in.

"Why didn't you come to me?"

"I couldn't bother you with this."

"You're my son. If you're in trouble, I need to know. How much are you into these guys for?"

"A hundred thousand." Steve stiff, Tony paced. "I don't understand--from what I could see, you seem to be walkin' the straight. Aren't ya?"

"I owe these guys money. I figured I could start putting it aside, and pay it off."

"How the hell did this happen?"

"When I was arrested--it was Big Dave's money that banked the drop. According to them--I still owe them the money."

"Alright, we gotta figure this out."

"How the hell are we going to come up with this?"

"I have money put aside--I'll go to Big Dave myself. I could put something down, and we'll pay it off.

"What about Florida?"

"What about it?"

"Don't you have to go?"

"While I'm in Miami Beach, my son will be scattered all over the five boroughs. I don't think I'll be able to enjoy myself that much."

"What do you want me to do?"

"Lay low, and keep out of sight 'till this thing blows over. I'll go to Big Dave, and try to buy us some time."

"I want to pay you back."

"We'll worry about that later. Right now I want you to forget about it. Concentrate on your job, and beating out parole. I don't want you getting side-tracked."
