ESTIMATING CAPACITY
In this Lesson, you will learn how to estimate the capacity of a container.
An estimate is a guess.
Estimate how many cups of rice or beans will fit in the container. Write the estimate on the chalkboard, dry erase board or paper.
Measure the actual number of cups of rice or beans that fit in the container. Write the measurement on the chalkboard, dry erase board or paper.
Estimate how many cups of rice or beans fit in the other 2 containers. Write the estimates on the chalkboard, dry erase board or paper.
Then measure and write the actual number of cups of rice or beans that fit in the container.
