CHAPTER 13. MY BROTHER KICKS

OUT MONO RUBIO (BLOND

MONKEY)

The Eichman trial marked my path. Adolf Eichman was one of the most pivotal actors in the implementation of the “Final Solution”. His 1961

trial in Jerusalem, Israel, sparked international interest and awareness of the crimes of the Holocaust. As we were explained facts about him, I realized that there were places to escape from persecution. I sensed that to save myself, I had to flee to an imaginary Argentina, a refuge for Nazis and Jews.

The final point would come with the Bar Mitzvah or the confirmation of thirteen years, which turned one into an adult.

By that time, I was tired of the abuse at Ken.
