Green smoothie freezer packets
Getting your greens in the morning always feels good, like you’re checking something important off the list before you even leave the house! The blueberries might make this smoothie a little less green and more purple… but I still call it a green smoothie because of the spinach, kale, and green apples!
Serves: 7 freezer packets (one smoothie per packet)
Container: 7 small sealable, freezer-friendly bags
Time: approximately 10 minutes
Nutritional info per serving – with water added only:
- Calories: 105
- Fat: 3 grams
- Protein: 2 grams
- Carbs: 18 grams
Ingredients:
- 4 cups baby spinach leaves
- 2 cups chopped raw kale
- 1 avocado, flesh cut into chunks
- 2 green apples, skin on, cut into chunks
- 2 cups blueberries
Method:
- Place the spinach, kale, avocado, apples, and blueberries into a bowl and stir to combine.
- Divide the smoothie mixture between the 7 bags, seal, and place into the freezer.
- To make the smoothie, place the contents of one smoothie packet into the blender, and add enough water to suit your preferred smoothie consistency.
- You could also use almond milk, coconut water, or yogurt, but keep in mind it will alter the nutritional information.
