This lesson runs us directly into the feeling behind every action we perform. Stances, for instances, have a very distinct feel to them. One does not simply assume a defensive posture unless they are in some mentality to defend them self. You do not put your hands up to ward off an attacker, unless you have a feeling of fear, or need to defend yourself. This mentality though, is exactly what needs be associated with the techniques. If your natural reaction when you are attacked is to throw up your hands then that is exactly what you will do, no matter how many parries you throw in the dojo. But if you put yourself into the mentality of the fear and you train from there. Now that will bring results! This is the reason behind leaving your practice of relaxation and martial mind at the door for training. I hope you all have absorbed this information and heed it accordingly.
