Chapter 22:

Local time – 9:45pm, Saturday 16th June, 2011.

Prague, Czechoslovakia.

Neither Alex, nor Henry, had any idea who the man was who addressed the Bilderbergers. He did not introduce himself, which spoke volumes of his familiarity with the group. What he said, however, was far more important than who he was.

Ladies and Gentlemen. It is my great honour to stand before you for the final toast of the evening. I hope you have enjoyed yourselves tonight, and must I say, hasn’t the dinner been a magnificent feast?’

People clapped, and the more drunken in the crowd shouted out thanks.

We, of course, could not be here without the hard work of our committee. A round of applause for the table at the front.’

More raucous applause.

And last, but not least, I would like to thank you all for your contribution to the Bilderberg mission. For some of you, this is your first conference, and I expect you are still a little bewildered at the magnitude of our task. What we are asking for is a change far greater than ever before. But I believe that we can overcome the resistance to change. We can overcome the naysayers. Those who block us will just find their journey to our truth, longer and more troublesome than if they did not stand in our way. Our truth is righteous, our truth is real and our truth will save this world.’

A crowd of clapping started, but the speaker went on over the noise, determined not to be interrupted. The clappers soon stopped to listen.

One of the greatest Bilderbergers of all time, the late John Fitzgerald Kennedy, once remarked “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable”. As we all agree, the forces of reaction have made peaceful revolution as we used to think of it impossible. We have found a new way. As many of you already know, President Joe Santos will be making a speech tomorrow, announcing the first of many policies that paves the way for our revolution. The last of Pakistan’s nuclear warheads have been removed, and North Korea, Russia, China, India, Iran and Israel no longer have a single weapon. Their programs are finished. I would like to end tonight’s dinner by toasting these milestones, and all those that follow. Our plan will be judged not in minutes, hours or days. It will be judged as a defining achievement in the future prosperity of this world. Goodnight my friends. And good luck.’

Alex and Henry sat stunned, listening to what could only be a standing ovation. It was clear that there wasn’t a person in that room who misunderstood the message. A revolution had just begun.
