A Contaminated Spirit Disrupts The Peace Of Your Secret Place

Recognizing Contaminates

My personal definition of contamination is anyone and anything that attempts to interfere with your relationship with God, your destiny, your character or your secret place.

What are some contaminates we encounter or display on a daily basis, whether internal or external?

1. Complaining

2. Criticizing

3. Blaming

4. Playing the victim

5. Ungratefulness

6. Stubbornness

7. Doubt

8. Pity Parties

9. Drama

10. Gossip

11. Backbiting

12. Jealousy

13. Envy

14. Coveting

15. Quick to wrath (nasty attitude)

Contaminates produce more contaminates, therefore, to keep our secret place clean and pure, we must detoxify our secret place of spiritual, mental, and emotional refuge.

The Bible says, in Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”

Now knowing the characteristics of negativity, we must protect the positive (those things which are good in us, so that we do not become contaminated with filth.) The Bible says in John 10:10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

In our secret place, God assures us that He comes that we might have life and life more abundantly.

What is it that the thief comes to steal?

1. He comes to steal your love, joy, peace….and all the things that make you content in Christ….

2. Separation from contaminates (sin and ungodly relationship) are imperative to maintaining Purpose Driven Life in Christ and serenity in your secret place.

In order to detox your spirit, you must be able to recognize the things that  contaminate your spirit.

1. The Bible says 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2. If the spirits don’t align up with the spirit of God that dwells in you, you MUST separate because your VISION and your FOCUS is not unified with a common DIRECTION because of the contaminate seeking to pull you from your secret place.

3. The DIRECTION should be GOD Driven, bearing the FRUITS of the SPIRIT, which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”

I challenge you to try the spirits that are within your circle to determine whether detoxification is necessary or if the connection is true.

Pray divine discernment over your spirit and bind up every negative spirit that attempts to interfere with your relationship with God, your destiny, your character, and your secret place of peace. Bind up the thief that attempts to kill, steal, and destroy your vision, focus, and direction, in the Name of Jesus.
