This was a gamble. They already had a running software that had proven to be effective enough but this new software was said to be able to pin point a user up to three square metres of their exact location.
However, earlier tests showed that the software had a glitch that would triangulate the location incorrectly the more the operator zoomed in on a user. Ever since the glitch was worked on there hadn't been enough tests to ensure that the glitch was fixed.
