Scotty pulled a fake smile as a gesture of friendship but he didn't need comforting, he was already going through how delicious the snacks were going to be when he got back home.

He left the store with the goods in a branded carrier bag. The girl he had just bumped into was outside talking to some friends. They exchanged a moment of eye contact but Scotty was already set on heading his way. She ran up to him calling out to him in a hushed voice.

"Yo....yo," she called.

"What's up," he stopped and turned round to face her.

"Just wanted to say sorry for the incident back there. I never meant to piss you off."

"Alright. Enjoy your snacks."

"Thanks," she replied. Scotty's expression hadn't changed much despite her apology, she expected more enthusiasm considering that she had made the effort to follow him but he continued walking.
