outdoor equipment and utilities. Fidel parked in the parking space right in front of the store. As they left the car they heard the music coming from the stadium. The performances had begun and they were at least another fifteen minutes away from the stadium.

“Scott! We’re late!” Fidel displayed a comical face that expressed the mixture of surprise and worry as he exclaimed the well-known fact that their timing was off. Scotty couldn’t hold back a smile as Fidel rushed into the store to select a helmet and a bike.

 

Eventually Scotty caught up and grabbed the nearest helmet he could find. Not a word was exchanged between Scotty and Fidel as the cashier/owner of the store counted their change and wished them the best of luck.
