by the Pharoahtics and though it was only a single, it was welcomed by practically the entire Paridosa. If anyone had heard of the Pharoahtics, they had definitely heard their track, Lifeguard. It came as no surprise when the instrumental dropped that a dead silence fell upon the crowd. The soothing melody, the emotional lyrics and the slow tempo brought a calm to the Skuller that hadn't been there the entire night.
"Is everything alright?" Arina noticed that Jordi's face was suddenly pale and the expression only revealed misery. Jordi, remained silent...almost as though she didn't hear Arina. The song played on and Arina was back at the bar ordering her fifth beer of the night. She didn't really like the song.
As Arina was ordering her beer, Jordi was captured by the song. So much so that a tear was falling from her left eye. There's something about Lifeguard that made a stubborn young lady like Jordi, be filled with emotion. It was short lived though, Arina was back and Jordi had to wipe away the tear and pretend that everything was alright.
