Chapter 4

Death’s Final Warning

We had finally killed Nam-Thy. It took over a thousand years, but we did it. Me, Jack, and Jacob killed, born from nothing in the middle of the universe, as well as all the Astrals as we killed their master ... Or at least, that is what they think, as they have been unable to see all the second letter, including that part of it. That is all that matters. After all, the Astrals’ powers were too powerful for them to know I inherited all of it after Nam-Thy's death. Two weeks after Its death, I finally understood the true powers of the

Supreme Being. Time was much messier than I thought. The past, the present, the future, I understood how little I could see as a human. I saw everything, from the first Astral, to the barren land, and even to the last Astral alive. These powers were too much for anyone to handle whilst keeping my sanity. Maybe this is why I made it all go this way... The day after, it all went terribly wrong. From this moment, I had a great bloodlust, and with my powers, I led the Altkans. In mere minutes, countries fell, and my empire rose. At my command, all would obey me... But that is not what I longed for. I longed for destruction, violence, and despair among the humanity I was no more part of. Only a tenth of the population was spared, among whom was Jack, standing before me as my servant. Among those spared, only a dozen was allowed to think freely, and even less were allowed to live normally. This is the choice that was made forever ago, and the choice that will forever be made... This choice was set in stone long ago, yet has not happened yet. It is not destiny, for it does not exist, but doubting it would be just as meaningless. It is my past and my future, in some way, a proof of my never-ending existence. The final warning that time is dying... If it was true. I would say the future looks bleak, but sadly it does not really... It is the final trap to he who resists the nature of this world...

Hund, 3245.

It was a dark night of October, the day of the new moon, when no light could possibly break through the dense branches and leaves of the oak trees... Have I done this before, already?

A Looped Universe

We are able to observe the universes, to see the world as it is truly, but will we ever be able to explain that? The fact that such a being exist? The fact that it could mean the end of our world if he ever wishes for it? The fact that we, whilst generally considered immortal, could be wiped out by a snap of his fingers? It is frightening, and the fact that he

has such a will is just as fascinating as it is terrifying.

Now that we observed him for thousands of years, we know more, yet here I will tell you all we know, and it will seem to be so little. First, we are certain that he is the strongest being in existence. Saying otherwise would be foolish, as he is the reason this world even exist how it is.

He is not a god, but he creates the rules of worlds subconsciously as he creates worlds involuntarily. The second thing we know is that he is not really in control, his past self is, even if he does not exist anymore. The “Hund” we see now is trapped in a loop. Thirdly, we understand how it went, and why things are the way they are, at least a little. His original self decided for it all to happen, although we do not understand why he did. He decided to create universes forever, since the first one was not going to last long. In all these universes, he created Astrals, who did not have a purpose. In most of them, he also created lower life forms, such as us humans. In a handful of these infinite universes, including his original one, he created greater beings, and in his original one, made them the only ones who could truly make a choice, whilst still restraining four of those to their own galaxy and forced the fifth to follow a certain path that would always lead to the same place, at the same time, and who he named after himself. Finally, the last thing we know is that made it so that killing that fifth monster would grant his future self the powers he had and influence him to repeat the same choice to go back in time and erase his memory. That is all we know on the being originally known as Nam-Thy.

Origins

This is the first story of mine. The story of the entity named Nam-Thy and of how I acquired the powers I have. This

letter is but a memorial, as I will seal it in its own universe. However, if someone does find it... Hello, this is from now. For you, this is from forever ago. At least, if not forever, longer than you can even comprehend, so mentioning the time is useless. I know this because my power will still affect every worlds in this reality according to my will for a very long time, if not forever. Now, this is the true story, the way things went in my original world, unaffected by my powers. The world as it was meant to be... and the source of my power. It all began on a dark night of June, when no moonlight could possibly break through the dense branches and leaves of the birch trees. Such is the time at which this extraordinarily great story of mine started. I was then fifty, and had no friend ever warn me about anything. I was recently retired. I never had anything to do, there was no mystery to be told... The world was so boring. It was so, so boring. I had two friends only; Vir-Kalt and Na’ap. Not that this was surprising, as only three names existed, after all. There was no entertainment either, no book, no play, not anything of the like. One day, thinking about what to do, I decided to go on a hike, the last normal thing that I did.

Late in the evening, I reached a strange place that seemed to form a circle around a small round ball, which was emitting a lot of light and energy. Fascinated by it, I brought it home... my fatal mistake. A week later, I was even more intrigued, as it seemed to not need water, air or light to emit this bright light and the ridiculous amount of energy it emitted each day. And one day, as I tried to grab it, my body absorbed it. That is when I got my powers and saw the truth, some of which I will seal away with my spirit, which will wander between my universes, within my realm, the reality over which I have full control. But when I had just acquired them, I spent a long time thinking. I was wondering how to use them, as well as if I could ever go against these strong creatures from other realities, much stronger than I... and finally, how insignificant this reality was at the time. Now

I’ve decided what to do; in this reality, I will create infinite universes, all linked by the original one in the center. Then I will create a path for this universe to follow and repeat, making the future and alternate versions of myself, called “Hund.” In this universe, he will defeat a monster who has my current name, gain a part of my powers, and will continue the loop as long as my current mind wants him to. I will then vanish from this state of being and become the subconscious of this realm, managing everything so that nothing goes differently than how I want it to in the universes I created, hoping that every being stronger than I am will decide not to meddle with the looped universe, which they need to go through to get to the others I’ve created.

This universe will be sacrificed for the safety of this realm.

Nam-Thy, from a world beyond time.
